>Remakes of Adventure 1 AND 2 are 100% happening, however... >they're not being done by Sonic Team themselves, they're being made by a well-liked third party known primarily for 2D games >Adventure remake will be revealed on the 20th, so one week from today >Adventure 2 remake is still pretty under wraps >the original intention was to release them both at the same time >this won't happen though because they've been allotted more time to polish SA2remake >in a very, VERY internally controversial move, Sega's CEO, Haruki Satomi, has overruled everyone and told the devs to take as much time as they need >now this part is really fucking weird, but people who purchase the SA1 remake will receive a digital copy of the SA2 remake for free, once it's finished. When the SA2 remake is done, it'll also get a physical release, and people who buy THAT will get a free digital copy of the SA1 remake. So there's going to be two separate physical releases that give both give you the other game for free, but they're still selling them separately, for some reason. I thought it had to be a mistake or something, but no, that's how it's gonna go. I don't get it, either. >SA1 remake will be released in September >there is a brand new 3D game being made by Sonic Team, Iizuka's the head of the project, and he's pretty involved this time around because it's not a boost game, which he never actually liked all that much aside from Generations >still in the pre-production stages, I would honestly be surprised if there's an announcement within even a year's time >2D Mania-style game is being discussed but nothing is for certain
>they're not being done by Sonic Team themselves thats too good to be true

>SA1+SA2 Remakes >Not by nu-Sonic Team >Devs can actually take time to polish the game so it's not shit user. I know this shit is larp but HOLY FUCK do I want this to be real.
There was a thread a while back that heavily implied the involvement of Wayforward
Jason Butler
Isn't wayforward a left-field prediction?
Adrian Johnson
It would explain why freedom planet 2 haven't came out
Jose Lopez
Does Wayforward even have 3D artists? Let alone programmers.
Jayden Hernandez
I thought that was an obvious hint towards Whitehead's new studio, Evening Star or something.
Dylan Myers
Considering the fact that Wayforward hired the guy who was responsible for the most notable 3D Sonic fan project, it's not that out of left field
Aiden Gutierrez
>most notable 3D Sonic fan project SRB2?
Matthew Edwards
Utopia
Matthew Butler
How would you guys like a classic 2D remake of the Sonic Adventure games which adapts all the gameplay styles
Carter Robinson
I don't think Sega would trust him with such a project, he's unproven in 3D. Dimps on the other hand made the non-HD Sonic Unleashed and 3DS Lost World among other 3D games.
Mate, we know that they have been working on the next Sonic game since march 2019, there is no way they are still in pre-production
Ryan Collins
I don't get it
Joseph Moore
We had a genuine leak while back, and you know it. >SEGA is gonna sue Penders >Boost Game where Eggman enters the multiverse and teams up with a version of Eggman that beat Sonic >Ben Schwartz voices Sonic >Runs in Lost World/Forces engine >Shadow playable ala Forces >Game features Blue fucking Zavok who has lightning powers >Classic Sonic is in it, only kinda sorta >Lots of cool ideas for games get thrown around, but are usually shot down by SoJ who are a bunch of out of touch boomers. A pitch for a new Nights game might get through, don't expect anything soon. >An Adventure remake is happening >But it's a boost remake >Only Sonic and Tails initially playable, other characters will be (free) DLC. >Forces models and Forces style cutscenes
