So what is the Lion King Remake of vidya?
So what is the Lion King Remake of vidya?
they're rarely that bad
Resident Evil
>Removed the timeless handcrafted spritework with bland 3D models
>All weight of the animations are gone
>Overall feels very sterile and uninspired, as if designed by a commite rather than artists
Gentlemen, I give you "Soulless"; the game
1, 2 , or 3?
SMT4 - Lion King
SMT4A - Remake
SMT Nocturne - Kimba the White Lion
That's not a remake dumbass.
how is this soulless? Bomberman should have always been new age and edgy to begin with.
>beloved children's movie with fun, expressive and emotive characters
>what if, for the remake, we take away the characters ability to display emotions
What were they thinking
So what are the old legends who actually did traditional 2D animation doing these days? Have they all moved on to Storyboarding and 3D animation?
>Kimba
SOUL
>Simba
SOULLESS
Resident Evil 4
it hasn't even been officially announced yet, but I just know they'll fuck it up
YU-NO: The Girl Who Shouted Love at the Bound of the World
Yes
>So what is the Lion King Remake of vidya?
this one is easy
Kimba is soulless since the producer accepted the boatload of money from Disney, despite having a slamdunk, easy mode victory against the mouse
bro wtf is Shermie from KoF doing there
Wrong.
Kimba was an empty husk. Liong King brought the soul. That's why Lion King is loved by billions and Kimba is a literally who.
Have you ever actually WATCHED Kimba? It's so fucking bad and janky.
ffviir
Why?
Disney fired all of them.
Hey user, hey, psst, user

Warcraft 3 Reforged. I'm still angry, and I'll probably remain angry for at least another couple of decades.
>We'll never get that style of graphics or anime ever again
It's a legitimate shame.
Yep.
>Richard Williams dead
>Traditional 2D Disney animators are dead/dying
The masters are going away and no one is replacing them. Western animation will literally die in our lifetime.
I don't think anything comes even close to this.
Warcraft III reforged was not only complete trash in every respect, it tried to erase the original.
also
>one third of the levels: gone
>catchy tunes replaced by forgettable OST
ah goddamn I hated that game
REmake 2.
Kikaida > Anything Tetsuwan Atom
That's because Disney pumped so much money into it that they stole Tezuka's thunder. If Tezuka had that kind of money the Lion King would never have been made.
I loathe the way male characters look in anime nowadays, they're incredibly boring, it's like artists only know how to draw girls.
Literally all of them except REmake, Zero Mission, and maybe 1 or 2 others I'm forgetting or am unaware of. Most remakes are shit because they change too much without actually improving anything. Or like the FF7 remake, they improve everything, but then shit all over it with bad writing and direction.
>Grow up as a kid loving Hollywood films, practical effects, traditional animation, 2D sprite games, Cel anime, etc
>Excited for an entire life to look forward to full of these things
>mfw
Every single time.
>500x329
I dunno, they don’t tend to change a huge amount of the game really, just the visuals. So the Disney comparison isn’t apt because this tend to change the story too.
What was bad writing and direction in the ff7 remake?
Shadow of the Colossus for PS4
Really this just depends if you like current generic shit or if you like 90s generic shit
>Excited for a life full of these things
I remember thinking in 2002 when I was only six years old how blessed I was to have a traditional Disney feature come out every year.
I respect your opinion.
They're all the same person too.
Some vague non-descript dude with dark, messy hair because god forbid you draw a male protag that looks anything different from the slobs watching the show.
Well putting aside the lot of them that've died those still remaining either retired or left after Princess and the Frog.
Unironically Final Fantasy VII Remake and I'm speaking from a purely visual perspective.
The whole design of the original game was made for the PS1 era and stuff like the character designs reflect that. Shit like Cloud's spikey hair and huge Buster sword was something that worked very well with the limitations at the time. The remake tries to make the graphics way more realistic while still keeping the iconic designs intact and it looks really jarring, especially when you look at NPC's who look like normal people; characters that went through stronger redesigns like Barret look the absolute best because the designers actually took creative liberties to make his look work in a PS4 game.
Very much reminds me of the Lion King CGI remake, going from a cartoony style to HD cgi looks off because the characters were always made to be cartoons, not CGI animals.
The plots are nothing alike. The only similarities are a cast of talking animals in Africa. There are also like a billion episodes of Kimba so you have a lot to look through if you want short clips that look visually similar to the Lion King and make people assume they have the same context but they don't. That warthog for instance is in a single episode and is nothing like Pumba.
>nu bad
>old good
