Why did 343 ruin Halo?

they didn't
Carter Morris
Halo ended at 3. Everything since is just poor attempts to emulate the original trilogy's success. Blame Microsoft for continuing to parade the corpse around.
Ryder Young
Microsoft ruined Halo. Bungie only wanted to do 3 games at max but Microsoft forced them to create an entire series of games, Bungie got seriously burnt out and when they were declared independent it was the biggest relief for them.
343 Industries just did their best to keep the lore going obviously it wouldn't be the same but it left the title alive.
Imagine the last Halo being released in 2007
Jaxson Rogers
Bungie ruined Halo.
Chase Reyes
Technically this but only because of Microshit forcing them to
Colton King
Bungie did that with ODST and Reach, /hg/.
Ryder James
This
Elijah Thomas
Halo 1-3 is MC's legacy, Reach is the participation trophy for the other Spartans, ODST is a nod to the best of the rank and file. Everything else is just the afterthought confetti.
Nathan Bennett
They want to make it their own.
Easton Bennett
They could have done that with the original without bending it out of shape, the in game universe is huge with millions of possibilities for original stories and conflict.
Eli Bell
They didn't, halo 5 has the best multiplayer experience and soon halo infinite will come to destroy sonyfags next-gen, cry some more bungiefag.
Camden Ward
Heck, with ONI having been confirmed to have divisions willing to do human experiments you have epocs worth of material for heroes and ambiguous villians during Halo 1-3 that happened in the background that MC wasn't able to be apart of.
Jason Nelson
>hating ODST
>Hating Ghosts of Onyx, Contact Harvest, etc.
shit taste
Xavier Kelly
They're also much better able to expand the story than other space franchises like DeadSpace and the dreaded ME
Ayden Martinez
Correct
Incorrect
Parker Powell
Stop trying to shove the shit that is ODST and Reach with 1-3, /hg/.
Henry Ortiz
Didn't mean to quote 503380569
Cooper Sanders
It's a nice touch.
James Gonzalez
I can't wait for this game to nuke /hg/, Halo doesn't need a general.
>shit taste
/hg/ are well known for their shit taste.
Christian Ramirez
ODST, at least, reach is Eh.
Jayden Sanchez
343 was made up of people who didn't understand Halo's core design, and as a result they tried to change it into something more generic and familiar to their normie-brains.
Jason Flores
>Incorrect
Correct, Bungie were the ones who made ODST and Reach so they ruined it, Joe is writing Tell Me Why while Marcus is making Disintegration, both look like absolute shit
Carson Sullivan
Not really, Joe's writing had problems since back in Halo 2.
Andrew Collins
Bungie were gamers that wanted to make fun games. 343 are self proclaimed “artists” that don’t even know nor care what fun is. They have never made a good game.
Bungie versus 343
youtube.com
Joseph Wood
Bungie changed Halo because they felt Halo 1-3 were dated.
Tyler Long
Because they're retarded and tried to make their own thing instead of make the thing people wanted them to make
Also put Frankie at the top, a fucking community manager
Austin Wilson
Bungie was run by idiots who were lucky CE-3 turned out so good.
Nathan Nelson
Halo was a product of a particular time and place and trying to drag it out for another decade just didn't work.
Even Infinite is only promising to turn back the clock to what's familiar... but why not invest that effort in creating a new, ground-breaking FPS franchise?
Oliver Cruz
There will never be a developer like Bungie during Halo 1-3
And what is 343 run by?
Hunter Collins
You had to watch a movie before you could give a shit about Halo 5 campaign. And even then Halo 5 story was still shit. Halo is dead and 343 somehow keeps killing it.
Brody Sullivan
Yeah, 343's direction was shit but I don't want a Halo 3 2.0. Anyone that wants that never understood Halo.
Jace Carter
die shill
Jayden Anderson
>but why not invest that effort in creating a new, ground-breaking FPS franchise?
because when you're throwing around the kind of money MS does when developing games taking risks isn't wise.
Christian Cooper
Halo 2 did have a ton more potential, but it's still a solid series in my opinion. Videogames are a bizarre story telling medium stuck between a bit too much at times corporate legislation
Michael Russell
Idiots but with no smart people to reel the retards in. It took until the MS shareholders to get involved for 343 to start putting the right people in charge and fixing Halo's campaign which has been shit since 2009.
Cooper White
343 is just whoever microsoft could find from the world of corporate media based off of resumes and connections. they hired people who didn't care about or in some cases even know what halo was before being hired.
