Shameless bump
Afraid Of Monsters:DC and Cry Of Fear are some of THE spookiest gaming experiences ever made.
The latter + PARANOIA are also the greatest tech-demos of this ancient engine's capabilities.
>Afraid Of Monsters:DC
Are those really good?
I played PARANOIA and it's nice.
I also remember watching another mod in a stream that is literally a copy of Stargate, you basically get sent back in time to fight nazis in some abandoned tomb in Egypt, really nice.
Found out it's called "The Gate".
Poke 646 and Poke 646 Vendetta
Cry of Fear is pretty chilling; though I still can't get over just how good the lighting and normal maps was in that game though. AAA work from an indie studio.
Is it like the Xen invasion but on a civilian POV?
Most of the current popular Half-Life modders fucking hate the Half-Life community. There's a shit load of juicy gossip from them all.
Example of this?
Everyone involved with Half-Life Absolute Zero is going to quit the community after it's released because they're tired of the community asking for the mod to come out or the general retardation that comes with promising a product to come out that's just a passion project.
Its a timeskip into the future where scientists are dealing with the Xen invasion. The mod was started before HL2 so it doesn't take Combine into account.
I see, i like how some of the guns are just nailguns.
Can you guys recommend the best half life1 mods that can be used with Sven-Coop? Me and a few buddies got really drunk and finished half life 1 story, Afraid of Monsters and played the co-op campaign for Cry of fear.
Any recommendations are appreciated.
Just play the expansion, Blue Shift and Op4.
You might have to take both games giles and put in a file on Sven Coop file, i'm ot sure now.
Check FPSBanana
They Hunger is officially supported on Sven, so do that.
What is it that attracts horror mods to Valve engines anyway?
I guess it's for the same feel like Doom and Quake did.
Easy of use and maybe the aesthetic of the engine
Will do a lil research see if i can.
Thanks we played that deliver a pizza japanese game from there and it was pretty fun.
We played They Hunger and forgot to mention. Teamkilling with the Train at the Swamp level is real fun.
It ain't too hard i remember.
Why didn't the government want Freeman to launch the rocket?
Here user, it teaches you how to install the files for you and ur friend to play on Sven Coop the HL expansions.

Possibly Gman's fuckery.
Probably thought it would make it worse also a huge rocket going off might make people suspicous so they just wanted everything cleaned up
>Dark Matter
>Entropy Zero 2
2020 is going to be a great year for mods, HLbros.
>entropy zero
It's like a Op4 for HL2?
Can you link the last thread user?
Anyway, I'll contribute. Any of you fags played Residual Life? The final version dropped like a month ago. The mapping quality is much better than their previous mod, Residual Point, but the bullshit difficulty is still off the charts. I've played it a lot though, so I'm used to it, but the first few times were so frustrating. Especially the secret Combine levels, which drop the ball and aren't all that interesting. The mod's at its best in the Black Mesa areas and Xen.
There's also secrets everywhere, and some are cleverly hidden.
As for the story, it's in broken english and nonsensical, but it's not like you would expect much from a gook mapper in the first place.
I miss Uboa maps and NIPPERMAPS from CS 1.6
Nah, can't it was just a shitshow really.
Hvaen't checked yet, but i'm down for some broken englsh.
Or the airforce would just shoot it down.
