Call me paranoid, but having these Nook Miles accumulated through daily activities and the Nook terminal having a big fantastic DIY at the end of the list for a lot of points makes me feel like they're going to do "seasons" like a lot of other games are doing, where you play regularly to level up and get limited time rewards.

I think all the recipes in the Nook terminal right now are going to be gone for good once we get details about the next major update.
