Do you guys still tip under coronavirus?
Do you guys still tip under coronavirus?
>$15 tip
>UGH LIKE WHAT THE FUCK
What a bitch.
Man, I sure enjoyed playing persona 5 last night
People are upset when they get 15 bucks for free? what world is this.
GameStop literally got 30% on my FF7R First Class preorder
I get really happy when people earnestly compliment my service. Am I a cuck?
they have to split the tips with the kitchen people to
Never been a server
I wonder what type of restaurant it was. It must not have been a large table, since usually parties of 6 or more have gratuity included. I've worked at restaurants where two people can spend $150 easy, between 3 courses and a bottle of wine.
So don't tip at all forcing the business to pay their employees.
You don't care about videogames.
Fuck off and die.
Because that same person would have made more money if they had better different guest that is a shitty tip
I used to be a server, then I took an arrow to the knee.
% tip is a fucking scam. It takes the same amount of work to serve $80 of food that it does to serve $20 of food. If you're working somewhere that costs $40 a person and you're still making minimum wage, burn down the restaurant and find a better job.
Just fucking pay them a good wage so they don't have to go begging to customers. Also remove all the legal exceptions that allow service workers to be underpaid.
America is so fucked in like a thousand different ways, trying to fix it is like untangling a giant elaborate ball of yarn full of knots.
Yeah, I guess all that studying in high school paid off
I never tip. Don't like it get a real job. I'd tip the chef if I could considering they actually do the real work.
You see that symbol in the middle, thats a dollar sign.
Wagie life is hell in burgerland user, it is hell.
Is this now, fuck that.
Why would I pay for takeout.
If it wasn't I don't eat out since jews want to guilt trip me into paying 75% of their payroll
I gave a pizza delivery driver, who must have been at least 75 years old, a 30% tip the other day
Maybe get your employers to actually pay you your wages instead of pushing the burden onto their customers
Yeah because I actually studied
Server here.
>It takes the same amount of work to serve $80 of food that it does to serve $20 of food
100% this. I don't look at the total price of the food cause it takes me the same effort, I just look at the tip and if it's $5 or above. I'd be pretty happy at this tip.
Kys
Not all of us are fucking idiots who could only manage to get hired into the shittiest jobs possible. I made easy money as a tutor in college.
Only in places that severely underpay their kitchen staff, and if that's the case then no one worth their weight in salt is going to be working in that kitchen anyway, so they sure as shit don't deserve it.
Servers generally get paid between $2.15 and $3.50 an hour. That's why tips are important. Kitchen should be getting $11 minimum, and thats still garbage. I literally walk out of interviews that don't offer me $16 starting.
lmao that's why I never tip.Waiters gotta learn they ain't entitled to jack shit beyond their base salary.
America. Tips are more or less expected here.
What is the point in even having a minimum wage if stuff like this can happen?
This, it makes no fucking sense at all
>Buy a $10 salad and a glass of water
>10% tip is $1
>Buy the Steak and Lobster combo along with a couple cocktails or sodas for $100
>10% tip is now $10
>The server does the exact same amount of work, carrying a plate and a glass, and yet thinks they're entitled to more money
And before retarded servers spout about how tipping keeps the cost of food low, I'd much prefer the food prices be raised and tipping to be abolished
Thing is is that in the rest of the world, servers get paid a livable wage. It's a US thing where they're somehow separated from the minimum wage and get paid less which is why they rely heavily on tips. They're fucking retards because tipping was done primarily by the rich for providing what they deemed a good service but then that evolved into "well you're gonna get tips so we're gonna cut your actual pay since the tips will make up for it, letting us make more money of your work."
I only tip if it the food and experience was really good. I don't have to feel guilty if I decide not to tip because we pay our servers a normal wage in this country.
>never been a server
correct, because I am not a high school drop out.
also if you get 15 dollars from a table then another table pays you 10, you've made 25 dollars that hour before tax, even if they are there for a two hours you still made over 12 dollars an hour for those 2 hours
I mean being a wagie isn't glamourous but that's livable
i've got a pal who works one of them high-end restaurants. politicians, actors, high end corp suits. dorcia type. he rolls 2-3k a week in tips it's crazy
This shit getting out of hand, i remember when tips was 15% standard. Now they recommended 20%. Wtf. Just charge a base rate, them bitches ain't working harder if i order pricier items.
why do waiters feel entitled to a bigger tip for the same job just because the food costs more money?
Tips have a flat rate: $5 for a good job, $0 for a bad job. You should be thankful you are getting anything.
