>xbox bringin back memory cards
SOUL

>less than 1TB of storage
>have to buy uber expensive high speed PC drives if you want more storage, which qualifying drives might not even be available at launch
would rather have the SeX mem cards

Even if they're super expensive?

This could be the ps Vita all over again

>Even if they're super expensive?
They won't be as the speed requirements are less than half that of the PS5s, plus MS partnered with Seagate and is ordering in bulk
>This could be the ps Vita all over again
The Vita came with no internal storage. SeX has a TB built in

I know nothing about this kind of tech, but with Sony saying that only newer SSD will have the power to run on the PS5, can't Seagate later in time upgrade their memory card to be even after than the PS5's SSD?

nobody even know what the fuck sony is going on about
if their ssds are special sauce, how are people supposed to upgrade their space with non special sauce SSDs
it's all a big fuckin mess

MS will release this fairly cheap
and then they'll charge extra
for a battery pack
and memory
and online
they'll nickel and dime you to death

yes
both systems support PCIe4, meaning they both can later on get SSD upgrades up to 7.88GB/s raw bandwidth, nullifying the PS5's only advantage

they will probably be 149.99-199.99 for 1 TB which isn't that bad unless you factor in the 999.99 cost of the console.

>MS sell its cheap
>Pretty much have free online and gamepass for a few years, externals for my BC games, and rechargeable batteries
I beat the system

>unless you factor in the 999.99 cost of the console
It's not going to be $1000 retard. $400-$500 is way more likely

>lol
maybe if they delay the release until late 2021 yeah

>maybe if they delay the release until late 2021 yeah
lel nope, $400-$500 holiday 2020

Because it's Microsoft. I don't know how the Xbox One handled it's HDDs but they already did this with the Xbox 360 and it's hard drives.

>009 Sound System Dreamscape starts playing

What the fuck are you all talking about, it's not going to support just plugging in external storage via USB?

it is they've already said that. if you have a current external hdd with all your current xbox library it will plug in on the new xbox and play day 1

Imagine how soulful it would be if the games actually came on the cartridges

ROFL
it will be guaranteed 699.99 and up, unless you mean the S version

so then what are you all whining about?

>Why are we back in 2007
you mean 1997?

I'll get it even if it's 1k, those specs are BEAST

i think they said you can only use a regular usb hd for old games as the new console games are designed to run off ssd

this. everyone i've seen talking about it is saying it looks like a monster specs wise. i can't wait to get my hands on one.

>Why are we back in 2007

underage b&

>memory sticks are back
oh god please no

Attached: 15484598656.jpg (301x330, 25.33K)

you can use regular usb external HDDs but they have said you can't play series x games from an external HDD, only store it on there for safekeeping

the reason is because a HDD wont be able to play the game like the SSD

because microsoft doesn't want to fix your xbox after you try to install a drive internally

Its fine, you dont need more than 1 tb

remember when bill gates said that shit?

seriously though

cartridges are retarded why do people want them to be a thing

Cerny said there wouldn't be much friction with how people install and delete old games with that size.

You will by the end of the gen. Game sizes are going to balloon even further. I bet the average install size will be like 600 GB per game by 2025.

People said that about the original xbox 360 HDD even though it was brain dead easy to get around
