Remake takes away everything that made the original stand out, especially the choir. Let's not even get started on all those unecessary "remixes" like the hip-hop chocobo theme. At least Crazy Chocobo from 13-2 was so over the top it was funny instead of just pure ear rape.
OST is full of bangers. Time jannies still suck but I’m enjoying the game. It’s actually kinda funny, because I’ve had the time jannies spoiled for me, it’s not hitting me as hard as it would’ve otherwise.
The original made the slums look like slums. It was dark, dreary and populated by people who looked like they'd live there.
The remake has nice levels of details in everything, but its perpetually high moon, judging from the level of sunlight and the "slums" are populated by middle class hipster looking types who all look like they're at a party or other gathering at all times.
In addition, the original described the slums as being hard to live in and had jo real day or night. Complete with a seedy underbelly. While in the remake there's artificial sun and the "seedy" underbelly is like a town fair at worst.
>the snare is still hard panned to the right in the remake I don't know why but I'm intensely annoyed by this
Carter Kelly
I have forever connected this track with dark mako-poisoned alleways of the Midgar slums, not some daytime sun lit empty roads. Midgar during daytime was a mistake
Still looking for the name of the boss theme that plays during certain boss fights, like Abzu #2. Apparently it's a remix of the Gold Saucer Colosseum theme, but I can't a name for it on the Remake OST.
>saying something bad about FF7R Oh no bro, this is shill central. You aren't allowed to do that.
Luis Martin
See? Remake is incredibly unfitting, it's one of the most optimistic town themes in the series. Wall Market is supposed to be a wretched hive, not a fair.
Dominic Edwards
why does the Remake Wall Market music sound like Aladdin music
Unable to confess, he is gifted by a deus ex machina (Jenova) with the Ex-SOLDIER's phone number. Never minding the strange area code, he immediately calls him, and is overjoyed to find out that he has a crush on him as well.
But, the next day, when Sephiroth recounts the previous day's confessions to Cloud, he only looks at him with a perplexed expression. After some investigation, he finds out that the Cloud he called is not the same Cloud he fell in love with. In fact, he doesn't exist in this universe at all. He is Cloud's alternate universe counterpart, who has fallen in love with the Sephiroth's own AU self, who too is blissfully unaware of his crush.
Hijinks ensue as the two strike up a deal to give each other their darkest, most private secrets in order to equip the other with the weapons they need to conquer the heart of their other selves. While the two chase their respective loved ones, DRAMA ensues as they begin to fall in love with each other instead and question the NATURE of LOVE.
