It seems more like a fucking lottery ticket than anything else.
You know better.

>I'm a Mexican by the way! Don't deport me, you silly Americans!

Try it as a side thing along with your job. It takes a long time to grow an audience especially nowadays. I say give it a year. If you don't have a decent audience by then (like 3 to 5k regular viewers) then quit. Stream regularly though. You'll never grow if you're not on constantly

you know whats your problem? You are afraid to be what you want to be

If you're doing it for anything other than the love of attention, then dont do it. The game you play wont be the games you love, the entertainment you make will be for the lowest common denominator. You statistically dont have a chance to make money from it.

So do it for the passion of it, and know that the passion is for attention, not vidya.

Maybe the Latin American market is less saturated? And what said, except his numbers are outrageously high, you can aim at something much more modest like 100 at take it from there.

nobody wants to watch a foreigner speaking english
unless he's of nordic breed, then it is acceptable
third worlder streamers just earn money if they play lol or cs lolololol

You need to have an entertaining personality to be successful at it.
Take a swing at it but don't go in with the intention of making it a full time job.

imagine this guy fucking your wife

Smartest way to do this is to gain a following on Youtube by making some type of shitty video and then say that you'll start live streaming. If you just start live streaming then you'll be dead in the water.

Not a sustainable career. Don't fucking do it. The industry is in terrible fucking shape. I'd rather rot away for the rest of my life as a wageslave in a gray cubicle than even attempt to become a """"professional gamer"""". The last thing I want is for video games to turn into my job.

Are you good at video games in general?
Are you good at a specific game that's super popular?
Do you have a personality that's interesting/funny/charming?
Do you know how to keep people entertained for several hours at a time?

Become le meme streamer who reacts to funny youtube videos and plays the latest hip games. Compile your funny moments on to youtube and tell them to watch your stream. Use reddit to spread your clips too.

ok go to twitch, go to any game category and scroll down. you will see 1000 streams will 0 and 1 viewers. that will be you

Do this OP but 3-5k is not possible, exception is that you are really good at a new highly anticipated game (a shooter is your best chance). I have a friend who streams as a side think for 2.5 years now and gets 350 - 400 subs every month. Thats like 700-800$ extra you get next to your normal job. He buyed himself a house 2 months ago with those 2 years of save up from the donations and subscription money. It is possible even if you are a small streamer but it will take it's time

Get breast implants and react to shit.

He must have a likeable personality or good gaming skills.
Whats his twitch?

it's true, bro. streaming for the international crowd is basically american foreign aid. they're the ones donating and subscribing the most.
if I was op I'd just play lol and speak spanish

I've got a persistent throat problem, so I've long given up on this.

Yes.
Looks like a sensible option
You're probably right. Probably why e-thots who're not even into games are so famous. IE. Just Chatting scum.
kek
I am a wageslave in a gray cubicle. I can't even afford to enter crypto.
I am a pretty good seller, so I guess that means at least some charisma.
Popular games I play league, Apex, Darkest Dungeon and Halo MC. Im really good at Quake style shooters.
Thats the side im afraid of.

no way this shit is real

oh no that cannot be real. I refuse to accept it

you must be new to Streamer Culture

Attached: pokimane.jpg (720x1038, 78.28K)

You could put a gun to my head and demand I donate a single penny to these fuckers and I wouldn't do it. Who the fuck are these people?

I think being a casual fan of games for 5 years is more likely to lead to streamer success than being a lifelong harcore gamer with passion. You got a leg up

All you have to do is be at least as attractive as this goddess

I can't even be mad at any of this, it's just sad. If you ever wondered what cults look like in the 21st century, look no further than streamers.

Fuck it, do it. Be consistent tho. Don't give up, don't miss a stream.

This. Just follow your dreams ! But don't forget about your social life

Only worth trying if you're exceptional in at least 2 of the following categories:
>attractiveness
>charisma or humor
>skill or knowledge
If you're a female, you just need the first one and willingness to whore yourself out.

>this was something to have in my back pocket well after we had 3 years of dating, don't worry, I wasn't crazy folks

Do this. Go to twitch for a poular game and then click on your scrollwheel, scroll down and let it keep runnung. Notice the literal thousands of people streaming to no one? Exactly.

After page 3 the viewers go down into double digits, farther than that we are talking about people streaming to like 5 people a week.

probably lives in some 3rd world shithole

Just stream from time to time and see where it goes. Don't try to compete in the big games like Fortnite and Counter Strike, those guys literally got where they were via E-sports.
If you play your cards right, you might get a decent enough viewerbase.

Attached: 1582782390204.png (298x291, 37.98K)

This pretty much can only be done as a hobby initially, especially with how saturated these sites are now. Also, you have to either be very good, funny, attractive, interesting or any combination of those. If you aren't topping leaderboards, then a combination of luck, time, and how likable you are will go towards getting you noticed and having an audience.

Why are you all hating on a person hustle? People have to eat someway.
Damn....

Oh, right, didn't think of that

That's close to an average income per month in Hungary.

you just have to be funny or entertaining
you being Mexican has nothing to do with anything.

dont forget one of the most watched youtubers was Angry Joe.

even if it is not real, it was created from the imagination of human being. it is therefore still a testament to the awful capacity of the human mind and the detestable nature of the humanity, and, perhaps, even of existence itself

The top streamers get legitmately crazy amounts of money, that being said its a pipedream to get there. The popular ones typically have 20k+ subs, lots of donation money, very lucrative sponsored content opportunities and pretty good ad payout if they run them. They can easily save enough money for life whenever their platform dies

Also did say it was a side thing

it's not worth it. how many Dr. Disrespects do you know? maybe 10 in total? and there are billions of people playing games

Anyone who's gaming streaming or YouTube for money as a living deserves the consequences of not having common sense.

Don't try, Mexicans aren't trendy at the moment.

This is probably the best advice if you really want to do it. You aren't going to get famous and make job quitting money right away but if you do it for fun as a side thing and stick to it for a while you might.

it's more about loving attention and being a videogame addict, these people can stay in front of a camera and play videogames for 8 hours a day, they literally won the lottery

Attached: 548309584.jpg (225x225, 5.59K)

sad really is the operative word here
take for a prime example, dude looks like he's actually seen the light, how he fucked up and understood that but then lolno, he ends the tale even worse off
what the shit m8, how do you end up that broken inside?

>call someone a 3k andy
