You can stack so much health regen that you can be nearly invincible on expert. If you're on normal mode you can stay still and tank anything in the game forever.

I did a normal playthrough after only doing expert for a long time and when I got to WoF I thought my game bugged because of how slowly it moved and how easy it was.
