you still haven't explained to me why it didn't fail immediately?
You still haven't explained to me why it didn't fail immediately?
Because it's based
>those threads of snoys saying it was nintendo's last console
LOL
i'll admit, i didn't think it would do good either, but i guess convenience and portability just sells.
the switch was an incredibly ballsy move. Nintendo's consoles are always based.
>Nintendo owns 33% of Pokemon
I guarantee Nintendo could have 3 console failures in a row and be fine.
the failure of the switch still would have done great damage
nintendo is always able to bounce back
I'm hoping for a more powerful switch pro with a 1080p screen and 4k output, would be nice, I'd upgrade
im fine with 1080p. 4k is a meme
does cock make you gay? i have mental illness
1080p on handheld would be nice though, and 4k doesn't bother me, but I'd happily welcome it
We will probably get a more powerful revision next year. I wouldn't count on it being native 4k though.
because it merges the handheld and console markets
people who usually buy handheld now also get the option to use it as a home console, and people who usually only get console can take it on the go now
it's also a big jump up in specs for people used to just handhelds - shame about the battery life though
series that only release on handhelds (like mainline Pokémon) are available now to console players, and vice versa
it is handheld, home console, and portable console all in one
Must you even ask? The games of course.

>Merge the two markets
>Reduce game output by 90%
What a great plan that was. Nintendo used to put out 20+ games a year across handheld and console. Now they do under 10. They've put out 3 games this year. Ones a straight port and ones a handheld remake.
Where's this merger that's supposedly happened? Where's all the games they should have in development?
What's with the bad battery thing? I get long enough out of mine, tf were you expecting? Plus if you're handheld, how often are you really gonna be sat playing for hours at a time without a plug?
Even worse
It's a nintendo portable, which has all its fun niche jap games and pokemon.
And this time, it is even using tech comparable to the decade it was launched instead of being a literal portable playstation (DS) or portable Dreamcast (3DS)
Why would I explain shit? You're just going to make this thread again like a retarded faggot.
Didn't you tell me it was going to fail? Didn't you promise? You said it would be a wii-i 2.0, don't tell me you don't remember Yas Forums? What happened? Why isn't Nintendo third part? You were sure. Don't tell me you were wrong?
Literally call basedboy cartoony crap.
MP4 won't even be revealed until 2022
its outselling the PS4 at the same stage of its cycle. Nintendo won this gen
Switch Pro will never happen.
Nintendo will not alienate the millions of people who already own a Switch and devs will not go back and optimize their games for the new Pro. You are absolutely delusional if you believe a Pro model will ever release.
1. It's an okay piece of hardware with a neat gimmick
2. Nintendo fans were literally starved for any hardware that wasn't the Wii U or another DS model
3. 2017 was already far enough into this new era of nothing being allowed to be bad or ridiculed anymore because doing so is toxic or whatever
you still haven't explained to me why it didn't fail immediately?
Switch isn't even in the same gen
just like new 3ds didnt happen
just like dsi didnt happen
just like gbc didnt happen
The only reason it sells is bc of Mario and Pokemon + portability
Because it's a Nintendo handheld that works on your TV. Nintendo handhelds have always, always done well, and now that that handheld is Nintendo's only focus game wise, it's going to do fantastic. I highly doubt Nintendo will ever go back to home console and portable, this is the new DS
It's the product of it's own category.
3DS was an entirely new console
DSi has no hardware upgrade, at least in terms of performance
GBC was an entirely new console
None of these are good
soicux love nintendo brand cult
...who are you quoting
>New
>New 3ds
You tard, they made a new 3ds that had it's own fucking games
>DSi has no hardware upgrade, at least in terms of performance
It actually does, but only DSi games use it.
Also New 3DS is not 3DS, it's an upgraded, faster version of the 3DS
I lost my Switch and am waiting for either Bayonetta 3, SMT5 or Switch Pro to rebuy it, whatever comes first.
The New 3DS had like 4 non shovelware exclusive games and was a complete failure.
Because Nintendo abadoned their portable/console lines to merge it into one profit stream that is doing worse than if they were separated. Its why Switch games in general are typically low budget, and rated higher from a lower bar being set.
Okay so maybe the switch pro will also be a failure, doesn't mean they won't do it
Context is important.
Sony got fucking obliterated by the 2007 financial recession and the PS3 was also a massive financial disaster.
Like it or not Sony for a while was on pretty thin ice with there being a genuine chance the company might go under for a while around the time.
