He did LITERALLY nothing wrong.
Name other likable villains.

Why did you spoil that he's a villain?
Also how much does the extra content feel tacked on? Like in P4 with that god awful Marie.
Sorry, though it was common knowledge. I've seen a ton of threads with spoilers even in the title.
The extra content in the original Palaces feels kinda tacked on, like the forced grappling hook sections and some bosses are actually worse than in vanilla but most of them are better. The third semester and the final palace are both great additions and you have nothing as annoying as Marie to deal with. The new girl is pretty much the best girl and her confidant is pretty well integrated into the main story.
>Also how much does the extra content feel tacked on? Like in P4 with that god awful Marie.
Much less than that. It does feel strange to go from Chapter 8 to this, but honestly if you keep in mind that it's a "bonus chapter" it's perfect. It is also alluded to over the course of the entire game which is nice.
>some bosses are actually worse than in vanilla
I cannot believe that they made the worst Palace even worse with a fucking DPS check boss. Madarame was way better though.
It's not as bad as Marie in p4g in my opinion, Maruki fits in better than half the base game cast ever did, Kasumi is pretty good too although less so than Maruki. The new Akechi stuff felt like it was only added to appeal to fujos though.
God this was the absolute fucking worst
Speaking of Akechi, anyone else have no idea that he joins you in the new palace full on insane mode? I fucking loved it and had no idea it was coming
Filtered. Literally the only fight in the entire game that you need to think for and people complain about it.
Just put it on safe mode, babbies.
>safe
>not merciless
Gotta get those x3 damage multipliers for easy Okamura
It's a 100 hour plus game that came out like two weeks ago over here. At least use spoiler tags, I haven't even bought the game yet
Fucking this, I was playing on Hard and this fucker seemed legitimately impossible, especially since he made the big bois an hero on the first turn they were summoned so the other would run away and the circle would begin anew. I turned the difficulty up to Merciless for this boss and beat him first try because of the increased weak point damage. Absolutely retarded game design. Thank god the fight with Shido is 100x better than vanilla.
>Thank god the fight with Shido is 100x better than vanilla
How so? The only difference I remember is ending with a based 1 on 1 fight.
That alone made it 100x times better for me.

Why didn't you just accept his reality, Yas Forums? We'd be free of shitposts.
Hitler. Also Dagda.
I actually did before going back and beating the game proper. I agree with him.
I kept expecting some evil secret twist, but that last scene where he's just a guy and he takes a pic of the group made me melt.
>spoiling a major endgame twist of an 80+ hour game 2 weeks after it comes out
It's been out for like 5 months, user.
Honestly, that's just Yas Forums. I just don't come here if there is a major game that came out that I really care about and haven't beaten it yet.
Can they announce Scramble for the west already?
For heck's sake, thank you. I am afeared it won't even come out this year with Corona-chan delaying most pieces of media that aren't coming out extremely soon
>everyone's efforts to get over their past struggles is null because cognition lol
>akechi and sumire are entirely different persons, essentially killed off in the bad ending
>everything is pre-determined and individuality is non-existent
Nah. Don't see how anyone can find no problem with this.
it's been out for nearly half a year.
you really have no excuse.
You forgot
>only people I like are affected
>Stupid filler villain awkwardly inserted into the narrative so fujos can save Akechi
But he's a good boi, that makes him a good villain.
>you really have no excuse
I can't speak Moon Rune
that sounds like a personal problem to me
It's mentioned that the tentacles will eventually reach everyone, it was just more convenient for Maruki to change the people around him first. If you've played the third semester, you'd know that Japan is the happiest country on Earth (mentioned on subway), everyone's fortunes are happy (Chihaya mentions this) and basically everyone is feeling good. It's kind of a stretch to assume that Maruki knows them all.
>akechi and sumire are entirely different persons, essentially killed off in the bad ending
Akechi is already dead, the new world gives him a new life. Also, Sumire wants to be Kasumi so you really can't blame Maruki for granting her wish.
>everything is pre-determined and individuality is non-existent
Where do you get this? How is individuality non-existent if everyone's cognition is custom-made for them?
>everyone's efforts to get over their past struggles is null because cognition lol
What use would their old experiences have in a world without sorrow and hardships? In the real world this would obviously be a problem but the point is moot in dreamland.
I wasn't saying he knows them personally, but rather that he is the judge who decides if someone has their cognition affected of not and his personal bias will inevitably be present. Mishima sidequests show this
Oh, that's a good point. I didn't have the in-game time to do all of the new requests so I didn't know that.
You have to be legitimately retarded to not realize he was going to be a villain, also the fact that the final fight against him is supposed to be an emotional moment is absolutely laughable, you barely get to know him
>You have to be legitimately retarded to not realize he was going to be a villain
The people who didn't expect him to be heavily involved in the palace (especially after you go there early with Kasumi and see it's a laboratory) are legitimately retarded, but not necessarily villain - even if it was the most likely case.
Do I still romance Makoto?
He's a wasted villain. They should've saved this for their terrible spin-offs, for a Persona 6, or for a DLC.... oh right.
>Imposes his will on others without their permission
>MUH MARUKINO IS A GOOD BOY WHO DINDU NUFFIN
Fuck off sheep.
>MGS fist fight out of nowhere
They tried to cram too much shit in that boss battle
>You have to be legitimately retarded to not realize he was going to be a villain
Agreed.
> the fact that the final fight against him is supposed to be an emotional moment is absolutely laughable, you barely get to know him
Disagreed. You have an entire confidant for him and the entire third period is basically just getting to know the new Maruki. He is better developed than pretty much every character in the game outside of some of the main cast (obviously not Haru) and most of the characters (especially villains) from P3 and P4.
>literally grants your wishes without asking for anything in return
He is too good for this world
When I first got to the new shit, I didn’t really feel it at all - after about a quarter of the way through, I’d say it was one of the best parts of the game. In retrospect, there’s lots of foreshadowing from early on which makes it a lot more natural than Marie’s arc in P4G.
I don’t really like the new girl, but her Confidant is also great. Generally, the writing for all the bonus chapter characters (and Mementos requests) is able to be a bit of a departure from the base game, which works in its favour (not gonna elaborate cos it’s not worth spoiling)
I don't know why you'd romance her again if you already did in Vanilla
Try something new
Literally as soon as he was revealed in the very first P5R showcase, people already called him a Villain. Some people were joking that it was yaldy in human form for fuck sake.
White Day.
I couldn't refuse Makoto but after the new girl appeared, I completely shafted Makoto for Valentine's day and the new relationship events.
>Three new characters
>One was waifubait
>One was a counseller
>One was just a mementos NPC
People were calling it from the moment that Takuto's design was revealed that he was going to be the new antagonist.
You can't rip off the LIQUIIIIIIIIID fight and expect me to give a shit about it. In MGS it was the culmination of a whole franchise, here it was forced and ankward as fuck
The worst part of the third semester is the dream world situations for the other party members. It feels really half assed compared to everything else.
I played P5R all day every day for 8 days straight. What the fuck do I do with my life now?
>Imposes his will on others without their permission
Let's not kid ourselves, user- everyone wanted what he was offering. The protags were just too autistic to admit and accept it.
What's up with the stupid shota.
the stiff animations didn't help, i actually chuckled at the punches
>hurrdurrsona 5
>likeable villain
Go fuck yourself
For all the faults of P5R, making the main antagonist a likable guy was absolutely not one of them
