ECHO's more of a puzzle game, and it's a little light on exploration, but it's great and the story isn't too shabby.

You've probably already tried it but Darkwood's fucking great while you're figuring out what's going on. Once you know how to play it though the experience diminishes.

La-Mulana 1/2 are obvious, just mentioning them in case you haven't tried them.

Did you get Tamriel Rebuilt? The quality and quantity of content that mod adds is a bit silly at this point. The mainland now has twice as much content as Vvardenfell.

You're a pleb. The game is great fun in co-op, and not in the bullshit "every co-op game is fun" way. The exploration and "Gothic"-like gameplay is a breath of fresh air to go back to.

As someone who's never played it but has played Gothic 1 and 2 a million times, why?
Genuinely interested to hear some opinions because I was about to pull the plug on it but decided not to at the last moment. Don't even know why, just felt like something was off about it even without mentioning all the dumb "survival" crap.
