Are there any games that have nailed its easy mode?

Are there any games that have nailed its easy mode?

Game actually mocks you at the end for using easy mode and you don't even face the true final boss unless you raise the difficulty

Can’t view the ending unless you play in at least normal mode, when you beat game in easy mode it just says “good job, now try again in normal” over a black screen

god i miss 1990s box art

Touhou doesn't let you play the final stage at all on easy, and doesn't let you play it on any other difficulty if you used even one continue

game calls easy mode: “baby mode”

Uncharted 1-3 on easy is unironically better than Uncharted 1-3 on medium. Mechanics in U1-3 are just not deep enough for any kind of difficulty to be anything other than annoying.

the ten percent of games that nailed hard mode are great. But the other 90% is utter bullshit.

Dark souls, because the only mode it has is literally baby mode

The games that filter these people

I played Ninja Gaiden 2 on easy.
That was still challenging for me.

wow it's almost as if different journalist have different opinions

epic

God Hand

Souls games unironically. The difficulty is built into the game seamlessly.
>Summon allies = easy mode
>Dried finger while solo = hard mode

God Hand in general does a great job with its difficulty
>Wasting an orb to say sorry to your opponents and lower the difficulty

last of us on easy just becomes an action game

The issue is the modes above the easy mode. Kotaku and other insecure fucks would be fine if that easy mode was the default and only mode. They cannot handle the idea someone did better then them.

Normal mode should be somewhat challenging,
hard is like you having debuffs and enemy buffed

Therefore easy should be you having buffs while enemy is debuffed and you get a stamp that lets everyone know you're playing ez for shaming

>I'm too young to die
>sentinel armor
>slow mo rune
>game actively encourages you to turn up the difficulty in order to have more fun
Eternal is the only "git gud scrub" game I've ever seen journos actually enjoy to the point that they suggest multiple playthroughs at higher difficulty levels.

>easy mode: slower enemy attacks, dumber AI and your abilities are stronger while theirs are weaker

>hard mode: enemy AI is smarter, attacks rapidly and uses combos and even some special abilities not available to you

>harsh reality mode enemy AI matches your stats, is smarter and switches to counter abilitys depending on what you use

has anyone other than "journalists" demanded that games become easier?

Easy mode is, and will always be, shameful.

no, it's pretty much just journalists and girls on twitter

ninja gaiden 1 made you wear a pink bow if you played on easy

People that bitch about not being able to invest real time into games because they have families.

Souls difficulty is garbage.
>you want these questlines, character interactions and equipment? better play on easy next time lol

I decided to replay Dishonored 2.and forgot it had the option to customize the difficulty. More games should do that

Yes and people said it was demeaning

wish more games did that. i remember how satisfying it was to finish omf 2097 for the first time. the final boss told you to fuck off if you played on lower difficulty levels. pic related.

what

Wolfenstien, even the later ones had it and journalists got mad as fuck about it

You need to summon to resolve some questlines, did you even play the games?

>easy mode
>summoning npcs
how bad are you that they actually provide some tangible benefit lol
