Get a quest about a missing girl, nobody has any clue where she went

>get a quest about a missing girl, nobody has any clue where she went
>go to her home, there's a note right beside the door detailing exactly what she wants to do and where she's gone
>go get her,she doesn't want to come
>say that being a marauder sucks and that she will miss her drama shows
>she accepts this and comes back
are all the quests in this game so braindead?
from the creators of New vegas I was told,an incredible RPG experience they told me
only thing keeping me now is the exploration and combat

its an okay game in a sea of shit. By comparison really good, has some nice moments and segments, overall a decent game. By no means a miracle or anything

>are all the quests in this game so braindead?
yes and the combat is negative iq

>he fell for the nu-obsidian
Avellone was the only guy keeping it together

Obsidian hasn't made a single good game that wasn't built off of another developer's work and even then that obsidian is long dead and gone

Outer Worlds was really just OK. Not bad, not good.

The dialogue writing was pretty good and funny at times, but the overall plot and direction was pretty bad.

The game also got kinda preachy politically about class and capitalism and shit. But really the only lesson to be taken from the story is how important it is to have a gun, apparently.

I assume all the best stuff is front-loaded, and the quests only get worse as the game progresses. One of the few people who played to the end can correct me if I'm wrong.

The note.... the missing girl.... I can almost see the pieces fitting together.... the girl, the note, her plans... what does it mean?

new vegas only felt amazing because the start is good and fallout 3 sucked major balls

By the time I got off the first planet the game completely lost me

>first companion is introduced as a starry eyed kid who's curious about things and wants to explore the galaxy
>her story culminates to wanting to fuck the captain of the very next hub world you visit
Why did they think this was a good idea? Are LGBT people just constantly horny?

Played till the end. You’re right

No, that's pretty much correct.
The start is the higher end of mediocre but it steadily goes right down into the shitter from when you reach Groundbreaker and Monarch.

>Are LGBT people just constantly horny?
shes asexual but also horny. the absolute state of nuobsidian

She's horny but its for sending the player on stupid fetch quests.

>even the "front-loaded good stuff" is shit
Is this one of the most embarrassing games ever made?

I don't remember this

Does Outer Worlds have a mod scene?

One of the sidequests in the deserters camp.

I think you can miss it if you don't talk a bunch to the front guard.

>embarrassing
I'd choose the word "safe".
I don't know how much it's actually sold - though the fact it was avaliable for a dollar on Xbox would have made the numbers skew simply because of that.
But as a game? Yeah, it's fucking embarrassing to see how far Obsidian has let themselves go, holy fuck. Even Pillars of Eternity had better writing than this, and some of that was incredibly cringy.

A whopping two pages worth of mods on Nexus. No surprise there; who the fuck played this and was invested enough to make mods for it?

It sold over two million copies according to Take-Two.

>10 years ago Obsidian released Alpha Protocol, one of the most unique RPGs up to this very day
>10 years later they survive by making godawful Fallout 4 clone that manages to be worse than F4 itself

No, it's fucking terrible, and you're a fag.

>worse than F4 itself
thats a bit harsh

i can only find one "adult" mod on nexus so it's shit. can't play a game like this if i don't have big bouncing titties in bikini armor

this is why I ended that quest asap. She ended up as my ship's repairgirl for life. She gets along with the A.I. so it's a better life than being a dyke

I saw only one dumb quest. I don't remember well but I think it was to get a poster for someone. I did a lot a "fetching" for the stupid poster when I wished to tell him what happened to it and then he should have said
>I will pay you more if you do this for me

That feels less than I expected, especially with so many people thinking it was going to be Nu-Vegas.
Maybe it means there won't ever be another one? Please?

Wish I could have had her as my harem with Ellie. I didn't make her go on a date with the girl, though. Didn't care.
The game did a good job to not make me look like a dick.
Also you can kill her date in front of her and she reacts.

Probably does. I bet most of sales were fanboys who fell for preorders.

I fucking hate almost everything about F4 but it had better gunplay, more gear, larger and more detailed world with higher quality of quests, better fucking RPG system (which is utterly hilarious) and instead of asexual lesbians you had Curie and Nick as party members.

>only thing keeping me now is the exploration and combat
Unfortunately those are lazy too. I know it's a meme, but this game is just fucking soulless. It's like someone went down a checklist of what an "fallout-like" game should have, then just shoved it in without regard for the execution. The guns suck, the armor sucks, the companions mostly suck, the story is okay, the sidequests vary wildly in quality, and your impact on the world feels minimal since the NPCs don't fucking move. The dialogue offers a really insulting illusion of choice, wherein they'll offer you a skillcheck, but it gives you experience then loops you back into the same conversation. It doesn't actually branch or change anything.

It's evident from the first NPC you meet. It gives you the option to heal him and once you do...he just sits there. He doesn't get any extra dialogue. Nothing happens. It was just there for the sake of being there.

What's embarrassing is how many people lapped it up.

>higher quality of quests
The minute men stuff was dogshit
