>playing this for the first time >having a shitload of fun >wow so many things to do, all the bosses have unique mechanics and so many interesting and secret easter eggs and moons to get >come to Yas Forums >everyone on here shits on this game and says its terrible
a-am I not allowed to have fun with this game?
Is it because i've never really seriously taken the time to play a mario game start to finish? (I grew up with Sony)
>a-am I not allowed to have fun with this game? No one said this
Nicholas Powell
Fuck the haters and just enjoy the game. I wish I can play it as well.
Ryan Gonzalez
>everyone on here shits on this game and says its terrible First of all, Yas Forums does it to any game. Second, the legitimate criticism is that it has ups and downs, some areas are really good, other areas are kinda bad. Mario himself controls wonderfully and has a huge range of movement and tricks he can do. The levels don't always take full advantage of that.
All in all it's still a good game. It's just that...it's no masterpiece.
Here's the thing you'll find about ANYTHING online. Whether it's games/music/travel/hiking- basically.
Nobody ever comes online to tell how much of a good time they're having with anything, because they're either busy enjoying it, or they had a great time, so they don't need to talk about it, cause they've already validated their own opinion with the only one that matters- their own.
Whereas people who have a bad time with something love to come online and moan about it, because they need validation from other people that they didn't waste their time, and that other people consider it "objectively bad".
Bentley Cook
It's a pretty good game, just that the concept of criticizing more often than enough has good intentions. For Odyssey, it's more " How can we make this better? " than " This is utter shit " All the 3D Marios are pretty good to great
Hudson Moore
There were a good number of moons that were way too simple or boring. Felt like sometimes it was too catering towards little kiddies. The controls and exploration were great but it was disappointing considering the "hype"
Caleb Robinson
lurk more
Zachary Taylor
I loved it when I played it. Then recently tried playing again and didn't have as much fun as before. It's a great game but I might be unable to enjoy a game I already finished before. Playing too many roguelikes/lites probably ruined me.
Benjamin Harris
It's not that great compared to the other 3d mario games, it's a fun game on it's own right though. It's only problems are that it doesnt have that many levels and it has too many filler moons.
Gabriel Powell
Yas Forums has been shitting its pants in fits of impotent rage since the switch is a huge success and every single exclusive has been shitposted to death, there's not a single game that spergs here will praise don't pay attention
Matthew Bell
It's a very good game, but still a bit underwhelming for a "main" Mario game. The posses ability was never really that interesting - he might as well have found a new suit or power-up or something.
Gavin Torres
>everyone on here shits on this game and says its terrible Only 3 kind of people do this:
>So(n)yggers that dont have any good 3D Jump and Run game >Gamcube nostalgia faggots who praise only the games that came out on Gamecube(case in point Melee, Sunshine and Animal Crossing and Metroid) >People who complain it isnt like 64 because big nostalgiagoggles
Its literally in the Top 3 of 3D Marios so far and nothing they say will change it. Its a masterpiece in videogame history
Justin Gray
>SM64 remake why not just mario oddesey 2 instead?
Colton Mitchell
>Its literally in the Top 3 of 3D Marios true >Its a masterpiece in videogame history false
Andrew Hall
soooo, is it emulable yet?
Brody Hernandez
I genuinely thought it was mediocre until I got to the castle and unlocked the 64 outfit then nostalgia goggles flooded my brain and I thought it was amazing. The power of nostalgia is pretty potent.
I enjoyed going for all the cube bonus moons after that. But I'd rank it alongside Galaxy 1+2.
It's objectively great and almost perfect, why would you care what some retards say?
Hint, though: There barely EVER was any talk about this game on Yas Forums, which should tip you off that it's good.
Thomas Rivera
It's a great game, but you should absolutely try and play some other Mario games. Also try a few Zelda titles. Yas Forums and the internet shits all over Skyward Sword, but it's actually awesome and people who complained about the controls are limp wristed onions simps.
Xavier Lewis
I found it kinda boring, lost interest early on. I don't think Mario has its "magic" any more. Sunshine was such a disappointment and since then its been homogenization and simplification of design and mechanics. Tried Odyssey for a few hours but it never got to a point where it was actually enjoyable.
Joshua Edwards
It kind of falls apart at the end because the majority of the content is postgame and the feeling of progression goes out the window.
Blake Thompson
It's a great game. I envy you that you get to experience it for the first time. Hoping for a sequel.
Thomas Sullivan
The controls are the least of Skyward Sword's problems
Eli Smith
Don't listen to Snoy trannies, OP. They were duped into buying a console that's been out for 7 years and it still only has ONE (1) game.
Hunter Stewart
It's a great game but it has 2 big flaws: 1) It's easy as fuck 2) Too many moons in too few levels.
A sequel like Galaxy 2 would be a masterpiece.
Cooper Nelson
It's not "too easy" brainlet. There are a shitton of moons that vary from easy to hard to obtain. This is a design choice to give every type of player a good experience. Unskilled players can move forward with easier moons. Skilled players can challenge themselves with harder moons. Collecting every moon gives the game a flow that makes the game very enjoyable. You are a faggot too.
Brayden Collins
Can we get a galaxy remake on switch please, that would be dank
Parker Anderson
>Hint, though: There barely EVER was any talk about this game on Yas Forums, which should tip you off that it's good. This man knows.
Jason Powell
I don't really shit on the game, it's a good game for the target audience. I'm not part of that audience anymore, it just feels like a chore to play through.
Adam Sullivan
too many moons that aren't interesting to get at all. shit like the ground pound moons, talking to npc's that give you moons, moons in rocks, moons in very easy to reach areas are just boring. it's a quantity > quality problem.
Nathaniel Sanchez
That's what most people whinge about. The sky and flying around is another, but people are whining about nothing, Skydiving in Skyward Sword is awesome, dungeons are largely good, boss fights are enjoyable except for the multitude you have to do the imprisoned and the overworlds are fine. The only issues with Skyward sword is: >Harp the harp is garbage implementation. If it were playable like the Ocarina or Wind Waker, it'd be so much better >The collection puzzles to get into the dungeon They're just not really that fun. It's a little challenging, but really just not that interesting and doing it a million times isn't interesting. Aside from that, I believe the game is pretty great.
James Stewart
The controls are a strawman. Most people complain about the games many other design flaws. Go watch the Matthewmatosis review or stop talking, because you're pushing a false narrative.
Daniel Powell
try Mario 64 and you'll see
Hunter Smith
This. The game is great, but it doesnt break into the "legendary" tier with mario 3, world, 64 and galaxy. I loved the desert and the city worlds, but yeah, the OTHER ones felt a bit flat except for the beach, snow and final worlds, those are good too
