Yeah but you don't play ESO for the dungeons or raids they're just extra content.

But the combat is pretty solid it's the bosses that mostly bore.

You play ESO for the same reason you play any Elder Scrolls game.

When i turn on a movie i don't have to do chores to get to the story. And it's a good story, not a video game story.

I liked ESO but not enough to buy the expansions past Morrowind.

Yeah Morrowind was my favorite.
Summerset is fantastic and is probably objectively the best hands down but I'm a TES3 fanboy
Elsewhere was meh minus finally seeing the other forms of Khajit.

Only reason I like the idea of Greymoor is I love Vampires. Why the hell should I care about going back to places I've been?

Is leveling fun?

I bought the base game on sale in PS4, did the Tutorial? and had a bit of fun, got to a main city when i ran out of inventory slots, about 60 slots, when any fucking material you get counts as a slot. Didn't even tried to find a bank or some kind of storage, dropped the game like a hot potato.

The voice acting was pretty good though.

Level scaling ruined the game for me. Cba leveling when it feels so unrewarding. Items don't matter, skill levels don't matter, nothing matters.

Did they make combat not a joke in last half a year? Because judging by patch notes they didn't even touch on it.

If the last major rework didn't do it for you I don't recommend it.
If you haven't played since then it's similar but everything has a lot more "weight"

I actually agree, but the only other modern MMO's I've played are WoW BfA and the FF14 demo.

The quests are the most interesting I've seen since Runescape and SWTOR, and the player housing is what I'm aiming for late game.

I'm not big on melee in the game (or any Elder Scrolls for that matter) but the magic classes feel good. Especially with the particle effects.

Honest opinion here.

Game is janky as fuck. Typical elder scrolls jank. Terrible looking, horrible animation, feels bad to play. Combat isn't much better than Skyrim.

It's also bloated to the point that it is becoming very noticeable. Loading is frequent and stupidly long, it has a tendency to crash frequently and the game is full of bugs you will run into frequently. And the developers don't seem to care about fixing any of this, they just keep adding more and more to the game and it'll eventually collapse.

As for the actual game. The developers have gotten really fucking lazy. Most of the new content is just rehashed old content. Updates barely add anything new and expansions (you have to pay for) are often small, not worth the price and again absolutely full of rehashed content.
When they add a new dungeon in FF14, it's usually in a dungeon you've never seen before, with new enemies and bosses you've never seen before. It might even have music composed just for that dungeon and drops items with entirely new models when you equip them.
In ESO, the dungeon will always look similar to an area you've been to before, will always have loads of enemies you've killed before and it's entirely likely the boss will literally just be a slightly larger enemy you've been killing to get to this boss. And the drops will 100% guaranteed be using a model already in the game.

It's so fucking low effort.

The only thing the game does properly is it positions it's self nicely between a sandbox MMO and a theme park MMO. It gives you plenty of freedom to do what you want, build your character how you want and go where you want, but still has enough structured content to give you some direction when playing.

The game is also jewish as fuck.
