An English spelling reform would be good prove me wrong

The French bastardized your language, we fixed it.

Brits think their version of English is more complex. The cope.

To make it more comfortable with foreigners... sure. But I as a native English speaker I've come to be fond of the English languages quirks. And I also hate foreigners so no.

It is, though.
They have surrender-like extra 'u's in random places.

>As a native English speaker.
>Fucks up my own post.
Pottery.

Sometimes when I'm watching streamers that'll come up and for Spanish there be some wierd red yellow shit instead of the Mexican flag.

I'm a native English speaker too, and while I have no particular love for foreigners (or niggers, which an orthography reform would also benefit) I feel it's something that would also benefit future generations of native English speakers.

Who did fix American English tho, or better said, what language is it based on and which one did they take to fix it?

>brits can understand burgers
>burgers can't understand bongs
>claims brits english isn't complex

>man coding in C+ doesn't understand COBOL
>thus C+ coder is a retard

Colour is not complex.

Yeah I do agree in some parts. Making the spelling more uniform and consistent across all English speaking countries would also be beneficial. But again I do like the differences, though a reform would be more pragmatic I suppose.

so the reality is a bit unfortunate for any English who inexplicably dislike America (it's actually not inexplicable but it's really misguided). The first English language dictionary is American; which is the standardisation of the language... the first one. As an englishman I appreciate American English and like the rejection of indulgences; the language is pragmatic, the phonology makes more sense and it is in fact older.

fpbp

yes

No, it's too late now.

Kinda ironic that British English is written more close to French but bongs pronouncings shit like clam sounds closer to Dutch or German.

no one in america has a hard time understanding a brit unless it would be due to a speech impediment on account of their strange toothless fricatives.

The British TV series Skins had to be subtitled as Americans don't understand regional British accents.

Or if they're Scottish, I swear they're not even using language at that point.

i dont really care about this dumb ass argument but has anyone ever noticed that the people on the "lol haha burgers are dumm"-side usually sound a lot less intelligent?

When are you commissioning more of those, lad? I could make some for sure.

Now I am curious how well Brits can understand certain Americans like Boomhaur from King of the Hill.

there are regional American accents that you guys notoriously don't understand, they're just less common on television because we don't put poor retards on TV usually.

Stop getting your feelings hurt by those silly people, you're a very smart and special boy.

Are there even that many Arabs in the UK or is it just another trumpanzee delusion?

Weird, even as a non native speaker I understand what they say.

There's probably more Sikhs than Arabs

I'm serious, I just got laid off from work because of the lockdown and I could do with a couple hundred for some wojak edits.

BA HA HA HA HA!

Not American but still native English speaker here. I once watched a British film called Adulthood and legit had to turn on the subtitles because I could barely understand a single word.

britpakis

Best post in this shit thread.

Decidedly not. There are mostly Pakis though as muslims and less arab muslims (though there are plenty of arabs), it isn't the 70s anymore, their largest minorities aren't fun indians and jamaicans.
