Yas Forums - Video Games can't have threads about Mass Effect, VtM Bloodlines or Dragon Age anymore. They are retroactively bad, because some developers got on Twitter and disagreed with me on cultural issues.
But if we were to talk about it, the best girl would be the blueberry alien Indiana Jones turned Al Capone.

Yeah user, nothing says "best" like the sexualization of a character.

This one is kind of sad...
kek

Liara can never be the best girl for one irrefutable reason - she is the writer's canon romance.
Normally this would be a glorious boon for her waifufags as their girl gets the most content and must always be relevant to the plot - you cannot even kill her off. However, this is Mass Effect we're discussing. To suggest the quality of writing did not stay consistent is laughable. ME2 Liara is an almost unrecognizable character from ME1 Liara. She is cold where the other is emotional, she is jaded where the other is enthusiastic, she is ruthless where the other is sensitive. Instead of following leads on Prothean artifacts (after just uncovering Vigil on Ilos, a monumental breakthrough) she is obsessed with an inconsequential side character from the first game because she alone had to recover Shepard's dead body from the Shadow Broker before he got pawned off to the Collectors, adding a retarded and convoluted side story to ME2's already retarded and convoluted beginning.

The thrashing continues in ME3. Liara, the scientist, is upset Javik did not pertain to her fictional ideals of what the Prothean race should be like and tries to argue by contradiction with him when he points out that they enkindled her useless species. After the exchange in the museum and the reveal that the Asari withheld Prothean technology (which they mandate all other Council races share), I lose all respect for Liara and her entire race. Other girls who take the backseat in ME3 are actually spared from the brunt of the shit show, giving them a distinct advantage.

Also she's an Asari lmao dumb cucks.

dilate

>starts as a pure, naive and loving waifu
>goes trough hell and back with you to save the Galaxy
>husbando dies
>tries to get him back or at least save his body form the Collectors
>becomes more ruthless after she gains experience when working with Shep and afterwards
>still can be sweet and caring but understands that stopping the Reapers is the most important
>loves Shepard even if s/he doesn't love her

Best waifu. Some other girls are nice too, but their personalities never clicked with me.
I saved her, she's mine and I'm hers.

>>goes trough hell and back
Fucking where? All ME1 adventure was sterile as fuck.
>>tries to get him back or at least save his body form the Collectors
Factually false. It was Cerberus who was looking for Shepard's body and Ferron who executed it.
>>becomes more ruthless after she gains experience when working with Shep and afterwards
Yeah because working with Shepard was all about "how to became info broker for dummies: the manual".
If you look for waifu written into the story at least check Dragon Age

Wish you could rape these slutty mercs.

>All ME1 adventure was sterile as fuck.
Autism. Going on a Galatic saving adventure and killing swathes of geth and whoever else is bound to leave a mark.
>Cerberus and Ferron
Yeah, she was not alone, but she played her part in saving his body.
>muh info broker
I meant that she become more ruthless in general, quoting her mother was a sign of that.. That be said, i don't see why she couldn't be a good info broker. She's used to tracking down and gather scraps of info and evidence on Protheans, after all, has skills with technology (since archaeology for her is not just digging up bones but also dealing with tech). Liara was always skilful, just not socially, she tells that herself in ME1.

>Going on a Galatic saving adventure and killing swathes of geth and whoever else is bound to leave a mark.
Nope if she stayed on ship :3
>Yeah, she was not alone, but she played her part in saving his body.
She literally was irrelevant to the whole story and was added only because comics was written by Mac Walters. She didn't even knew Shepard body was intact.
>That be said, i don't see why she couldn't be a good info broker
May be because she tells you in first game in her 100 yo she knew nothing except prothean history. Yet still for two years she becomes top-2 info broker in the milky way

>but their personalities never clicked with me.

Unconditional player-worship is not a personality, she has no personality.

>Geth shotgun
Based.

What was the most hype moment when you played the trilogy?
mine was the fight against Tela Vasir As a Vanguard

This is actually where you're wrong. Plenty of men fall for women unconditionally, it's our natural state in fact. It's the opposite that's not true, and yet we accept it as normal. All a woman needs to do to be loved, is exist. But a man? A man needs to earn that love, every single day of his life. If he ever stops earning it, it dies off, and the woman will leave.

It's for this reason that for many men, the purest, most sought after form of love that most never even get to experience, is one that is given freely. Love that's given because of their person, not because of their constant work, effort, appearance, or bank account. THIS is the scratch that Liara responded to. She liked Shepard for who they were. And after that was said and done, she didn't stop liking either. Years apart, different routines and even changing objectives later, she still never let go. Liara loved Shepard the way a man loves a woman. And that? That is something truly precious. Not realistic, no. But neither is most of anything else in a sci-fi game. Yet we play them, because in some cases, the unreal is better than the real.

Arrival last stand as vanguard and infiltrator

>Nope if she stayed on ship :3
I almost always pick her. Well, always on main missions and for side missions I rotate squad members.
>nothing except prothean history
Not true. To get that she needed other skills. She even mentions that herself. For example, when talking about her biotics that helped her to avoid trouble. Also, she would need to have certain tech skills since she's dealing with ''paleo''technology (Maybe that's why she has electronics skill in ME1) What's more, historians deal with gathering information all the time so that helps some as well.
>muh Walters
Yeah, yeah. I know you hate him and have to lash out on Liara as well.
I'd take worship over all other romance options we get.

>Liara loved Shepard the way a man loves a woman.
Bwahahahaha!

Nicely put.

>Well, always on main missions
Main missions in ME1 are sterile as fuck.
>Not true.
Factually it's true. She even tell rest of the team to not take her words seriously.
>Yeah, yeah. I know you hate him
And for a very good reasons, since he is bad writter, whi cannot write story or characters. This is why Therum mission is the most retarded mission in ME1. Geth seeking fir Liara literally for no reasons, she didn't give you any useful intel.

To reiterate: Liara is best for a reason.

Unconditional love doesn't really apply to a guy like Shepherd who's a near Christlike figure to everyone besides a handful that use terms like "reapers."
