Will this be worth upgrading the ps4 controller i use for my pc? I know its way too soon but will steams new controller be a challenger?
show controller, console still a mystery.
wins
>Dies after four hours of use
Yes since ps5 has haptic feedback and adaptive triggers
no paddles on the back, not worth my time. ill stick to my elite series 2, thanks
Reminds me of the retarded ps3 boomerang. In the sense that it looks retarded and probably feels retarded.
Except the ps3 boomerang was just a concept and they were smart enough not to use that design.
Ear pics and retarded controllers. Ps5 is gonna have it rough.
Depends on the battery life. The PS4 controller was really bad. Wouldn't buy one for using with my PC.
I've had all three consoles this gen, and the PS4 controller was sadly the worst. They'd better give this thing more than 5 hours of fucking battery life.
im calling it now the controller gonna have battery problem
So they've resorted to ripping off Xbox? That's embarrassing.
>meanwhile I play with a 3rd party Wii U Pro controller on PC which has a long battery life but is a flawed controller in many aspects because of shitty sticks/deadzone and digital triggers
life isn't fair. can't have it all it seems. I'm glad though that I didn't upgrade from my DS3 to DS4 ever since the new gen is around the corner now.
But that’s not the Xbox One controller
how did they rip off anything?
there is only the form factor.
what he said: and there will be again an audio jack in it and the new feature will be an integrated microphone.
>stick drift and fucked face buttons after 1 year
Probably not cause they switched to usb-c which is usually used for 2k+ mAh
people said that about the Xbone controller as well.
i'm sad this isn't the real ps5 controller colors
When will controllers with back paddles/grip buttons? FUCK, I've been waiting 3 generations now for it to become the standard. They made that add-on for the DS4, so they're clearly thinking about the tech, I just hope it's actually in the DS5.
>expectations vs reality
nice shop
It has USB-C so they're probably going to go the alternate route of fast-charging the thing instead, where you plug the thing in for a couple minutes and get a couple hours of play.
Unless they actually do increase the pitiful 1000 mah battery, because all the new sensors will have to eat more battery life.
don't be silly. do you really think there won't be an all black version of this thing and then several other color schemes once the console comes out including for the console itself too?
Digital triggers are my favorite feature of modern Nintendo controllers.
the controller buttons won't be color coded, nor the logo.
like they took minimalism too far, but then doubled down on the giant fucking touchpad button.
nobody says that. it's just a downgrade all things considered.
This. Analog triggers are literally only useful for serious racing games. In general, the travel action is a hindrance.
I don't play racing sims and a lot of the games I do play benefit from the ability to reliably press the trigger at the same time as other buttons, or just press them with very specific timing (as in fighting games) which is a lot harder to do on analog triggers.
I can't actually think of any games that use pressure sensitive triggers well, desu.
I remember Perfect Dark Zero tried using them for i think sniper scope zoom and it was a mess though.
Racing games and that's about it.
*blocks your path*
I don't want to see fast charging with the cheap shitty Chink batteries they use. Fire waiting to happen.
if you have money to waste sure. Keep in mind we're in the beginning of a recession. No reason to get DS5 on release if you already own a DS4, it's an excellent controller
