I imagine there is a discrepancy because strategy games are extremely niche which cod is one of the most popular franchises and it has nothing at all to do with race.

Most of my friends are white or Asian, but my other Black™ friends who are also Gamers™ will play whatever I suggest to them most of the time. Simple 4X like Civ or RTS like Age of Empires (2 or 3, either work), as well as games like Pokemon and Monster Hunter. It helps having a range of interests and not feeling an ethnic tie to a video game genre.
