You’re a pussy

Didn't they change it to wait for shadow in later releases?

And it's a good thing, you wouldn't deny a little girl a dog, right?

No.
It always just says "wait" the first time you make the selection and it changes to "gotta wait for shadow" on subsequent selections.

Wait until you hear what the password is in earthbound, fucking zoomer scum

Not, it's always been "Wait" the first time, then if you try leaving again it changes to "Wait for Shadow"

thats good game design

I still don't get how it's possible to get through the game at the speed it requires for you to get this

Literally made to dab on the 100% completion nerds
Especially the Euro ones

Somehow as a kid without a guide I knew about waiting for shadow. FF6 and 9 were the best. Honorable mention to ff8's opening cutscene gunblade intro

Final Fantasy games are universally mediocre games made for children.

Opening your CD tray or replacing the PC files to skip the FMVs makes it really easy
Otherwise it’s not meant for the average player, just a reward for the extreme speedrunner.

you know there are people who "speedrun" this game right and still have plenty of time to spare before you fail to get it

all of ff15

This is good game desgin. Completionists deserve to suffer for their autism.

>promotes replayability
nothing wrong with this

V is fun, actually pretty replayable thanks to being able to mix job abilities together.

That right there is what gamesharks were for.

V is overrated.

Well yeah they all are. Except for 2, don't see many people who actually like that one.

First actual example of bad design in the thread, good job.

"Puzzles" in La Mulana Ex. Too many false hints from text and the actual hints are no more helpful than the false hints until after you've used that hint. Also the puzzles are too fucking random on how you activate them and what effect they have.

Speed runners are beating it sub 9 hours now. You can't really do it if you're trying for 100% completion.

Basically, you skip every cutscene, run from most battles, and avoid interacting with things as much as possible.

the worst rpg mechanic in existence

Someone explain please

I don't quite remember why but I do feel like I'm getting angry seeing this picture

what happens if you press wait?

it's just that thing you use now and then, if you were spamming it you're doing it wrong

It's not bad game design. Looking up what you need to do is literally free.

100% bullshit, you are in no way mistaken

>press gf button
>get anime girl gf
how is this bad game design

You wait, but if you wait till like the last literal second a party member who would normally die joins you right at the end and you all get away.

>get roc's feather
>get pegasus boots
>can now long jump
>sweet, there's so many gaps I can cross now
>they're all either 1 block wider than the long jump range or at a ledge that kills your momentum tp prevent long jumps and require a hookshot instead

Dumb to have two items for crossing wide gaps and then you never use one.

Fuck that.
What's the point of having it? What's it do for you that you don't get out of Steiner's normally accessible weapons? What fights are in the game that cannot be met evenly when encountered, or cannot be cheesed besides by Steiner??
What the fuck is the point of the sword, or is it JUST a wankoff?

Previous character you met before falls into the loser pit when you enter the room. If you go down and talk to him you get led onto the normal ending route but if you jump past him and into the door you can get led to the best ending
