>Rips off Fight Club
Rips off Fight Club
I don't think you understand the plot of either if you're making that connection
Shut the fuck up you nerd. Stop thinking it's this deep and complex story.
How does it rip off Fight Club?
The entire plot twist of the main character realizing he's Darth Revan the entire time.. Lmfao. It's such a ripoff of Fight Club.
No?
I don't think anyone believes kotor 1 is super deep or complex, it's 2 that attracts the high schoolers who think they've discovered some grand philosophical statement when a character tells them that roleplaying as a good person is bad.
Having multiple personalities and being brainwashed to forget your past isn't the same not even in the slightest.
What a quality thread with a totally not faggot OP who gave great responses to anons
Thank you for this :---DDD
>split personalities were invented by Fight Club
That's not what the game says at all, though.
it doesn't say much of anything worth caring about because it's completely unfinished, and plots jump all over the place towards the end. the only coherent, fully fleshed out messages are basic shit like that, and even the "your actions can have consequences beyond the obvious" shit is completely dropped for the rest of the game.
Thanks, but if you wanted to complain about the game being unfinished, completely failing to understand something the game literally explains to you isn't a very good place to start.
>is a shit game for 5 year olds
Why are we discussing it? How old are you guys?
I am absolutely shocked to see a kotor 2 fanboy just reply with some smug shit instead of any sort of actual response or explanation. truly we're breaking new ground here. sorry that your high school essay tier philosophy isn't as smart as you think though little guy
>and even the "your actions can have consequences beyond the obvious"
>literally the entire endgame is dealing with the unanticipated consequences of the choices you and your companions made
What did he mean by this?
How is even possible to be so retarded. What the fuck! Did your cousin timetravel to the past to fuck your grandma or something. I can't even begin to... Fuck.
Are you 12yo nignog Autistic braindamage fetal alcoholic child molested. I'm speechless.
Wow, what a surprise that someone who couldn't understand something he was directly told be the game can't parse the simple statement "you didn't understand it, so complaining about it while emphasising that you didn't understand it just makes you look retarded instead of making the game look bad"
Time to work on that vocabulary, user.
>split personalities were invented by Fight Club
Yeah like how both Fight Club and Kotor they both controlled some sort of empire of their own and realized at the end that they were this bad evil character the entire time... Nice try though. It wasn't like the Hulk or anything.
Not more so than any other game out there. I'd love for you to explain why you feel differently though. What decisions do you think are a good example of it?
Yeah bro, you're so smart for developing an ego over a childrens videogame. read a book faggot, kotor isn't that deep.
Yeah, because there was definitely no Hulk story where Hulk was fighting against the evil ruler of some empire only to realize he was its ruler
Wow user, you're so clever that you can't even articulate an argument and have to resort to "g-go read a book!"
I'd suggest you take your own advice, at least that way you might know what the older kids in the room are talking about.
>That scene where Bastila says "I haven't been fucked like that since grade school."
I liked how the tone of the endgame diverges significantly depending on a choice that it most other games would be almost irrelevant (namely, who you choose to romance), and that the game design goes out of its way to emphasise its own themes by taking you back to Malachor and having the companions who were most affected by it be the most relevant on the planet, the resonance is great. I also liked how one of the most important - in regards to the setting - epilogues is decided by the result of an optional sidequest, because ultimately you're playing a personal journey and not trying to balance the economy of the entire Republic unless you want to go out of your way to do so.
Are you fucking stupid? Maestro was aware of who he was and never played it off as some epic plot twist that he was Maestro all along. Dumbass.
And Revan wasn't antagonizing or battling against himself. Losing his memory is not the same thing as two split personalities interacting with each other. If you're fucking stupid enough to paint those two stories with the same brush, you're mixing some Hulk Green in with your Phthalo Blue there, Bob.
>And Revan wasn't antagonizing or battling against himself.
Exactly. Are you not reading well? How much brain cells exist in your brain? Holy fuck dude pay attention.
>Exactly.
Then you're agreeing with him that Kotor and Fight Club are nothing alike, you dumbass.
You're cute. I kinda feel sorry for arguing with retards. I know it's past your bedtime zoomie.
>zoomie.
lol newfag
Retard alert retard alert retard alert
I don't actually disagree with those points, the idea of malachor is cool and there's a bunch of cool plot points there, I just don't think the messages it's trying to get across are very deep, and I think it being obviously unfinished is a big reason why. Stuff is just kind of half laid out and then finishes.
I still enjoyed the game, outside the obvious flaws. I don't know if I fully agree about the companions who were most impacted being most relevant though, considering one just vanishes and a few of the others who get screen time there aren't really very related to it at all.
Holy shit someones brains are fucking breaking tonight LOL
