MGS Goes Open World!
MGS Goes Open World!
>not a single mission uses the entire map
this game was pretty funny with cheats, the comfiness reached really high peaks and I didn't pay a dime
the sally fight was on a tiny hill
how can kojima defend this
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I'm so close to buying this game again, it's so cheap on the PS store
It was a mistake.
I would not have minded an open world that connected various mission areas, tho. Like the camp from Ground Zeroes. Omega, was it?
The only good game in the series
Why are video games such a fucking disappointment nowadays?
Propably the most underrated game ever made, it was overrated until people gave it so much shit it became insanely underrated
shooting niggers in the head in this game while rolling around on the ground was kino
normies ruined everything
>THIS
>RAIDEN FAGS SEETHING
MGSV has the best gameplay and controls out of the entire series
The plot sucks, tho.
>AND IN THE END THE GAME WAS THE REAL PHANTOM PAIN XD
shame the level design took a nosedive when they said fuck it we won't use indoor locations and everything will be three tents and a dirt road
DS is 50% off. should i bros? The game probably will get a re-release on ps5...
*blocks your path*
do you like dirt roads
Does open world really add anything to games? Open world just seems like one of those "nice in theory, boring in practice" ideas.
wait for pc
Its not that kind of a game to be on fence about. If you didnt buy it already is propably not for you
>Boss, they're all infected with Covid-19!
>Get the fuck outta there!
kojima does it again
After playing the modern Hitmans, I wish they had gone that route.
That said, I did enjoy PP’s open world more than most other games. It didn’t feel quite as bland as it could have been, and trying to S rank the mission where you have to steal seven different vehicles was legit fun.
>Does open world really add anything to games?
For the most part, no. For example OKB Zero is a decently designed area but Groznyj Grad and the Tanker were better designed. I don't think there's ever been an instance of a series going open world that wasn't blatantly going for the Rockstar audience.
The missions that took advantage of it and had you going all over the map were pretty fun, and you have the advantage of being able to recon and plan before you go in or just figure it out as you go.
Companions break the challenge though
I had such high hopes after Ground Zeroes, they got so much gameplay out of such a relatively small area compared to Phantom Pain.
just watch it on youtube
This game caused my gamer depression and I was never the same since
Survive had a better open world than V, and Survive SP mode was made due to the complains with a piss poor budget.
Lol no
Unlike V, it tried to have at least some indoor sections, and changed the map to make it a little smaller but also more linear.
Survive director was Ground zeroes main level designer after all.
>It was directed by the Ground Zeroes guy
>Its more linear
>It had some indoor sections
Seek medical help
MG need to stay linear, or at least, not fully open world. V open world ruined it.
it had decent but very stiff controls in tight spaces. the gameplay is god awful. I've 100% it and have hundreds of hours in both the singleplayer and multiplayer. the bases are poorly designed, way too open, way too easy to beat and are too empty. it needed way bigger, busier, and filled bases so sneaking would actually feel tense because youre surrounded by 50+ guards but you haven't been seen. that would've felt way more enjoyable and rewarding to perfect stealth. fobs are too straightforward and open with the only real level "design" at the final platform. the defenses are way too easy to funnel players and the defender almost always wins unless the invader goes meta and spams stun grenades from his nade launcher.
Lol people still shill for Survive here?
Every main mission was not fully open world.
MGSV desperately needed indoor underground bases.
Maybe don't smash your monkey knuckles on the keyboard next time you post
Because you stake your entire worth in products.
Open world was a mistake.
They weren't not open-world. They played identically to how you'd play in free roam, you wouldn't need to fuck off to the ass-end of the zone when you're trying to infiltrate a base in one specific location.
MGSV is a fucking good game. There I said it. Sadly Yas Forums only cares about story in a videogame.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO YOU CANT JUST FUCKING SAY THAT
You're looking in the wrong places. If you ever expect a AAA open world game to be good, then you have misguided expectations.
Indie games and AA games are where the good and fun games are at. Since the start of 2020, the only AAA games I played was Doom Eternal and Nioh 2 (both of which I enjoyed). The others were indie and AA titles: Dead Cells, Risk of Rain 2, Hades, My Friend Pedro, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, Ape Out, Baba Is You, Blasphemous, Luminous Avenger iX and Warhammer 40K: Mechanicus.
>inb4 pixelshit
Like half the games I just listed don't use retro pixel styles. And the ones that do are fine with the visual style they have.
