Yeah, Ivalice is the best setting in the series. Too bad FF12 ruined it.

Absolutely. The game isn't especially balanced, but it's not unbalanced in a way that makes the game less fun. It's the fun kind of unbalanced making you as broken as you want to be, but chances are your first playthrough rather than being broken you may struggle a bit.

12 didn't ruin the setting though. At worst it just told an unfulfilling story.

several ff games like VI i think do a better job at immersion and telling a story but tactics is at least tied for best of all FF for gameplay.

Lore and setting were nice but I couldn't get along with the characters. They were so boring.
