I hear they get paid almost as much as a Yas Forums janitor, except with less time off.

My only complaint is that the ghosts or whatever look kind of shoddy in a very not good way.. For something that gets so much screen time they could have looked better I think. They look like the videogame equivalent of bad movie cgi, or a magic trick that doesn't hide the trick. One step removed from seeing the string they dangle from.

They were not added last minute. They are integral parts of almost every event from very early on in the story (as soon as the demo ends) to the very final input of the game.

Unfortunately there's almost no chance in hell they'll suddenly revert to being faithful to the story starting in part 2 when they've gone through such great lengths to desperately write in an excuse for lol destiny to be changed. Characters are alive when they shouldn't be as a result of the changes.

This is just the tip of the iceberg. Nomura is allergic to sticking to a story someone else has written. He himself personally does not find writing engaging unless the unexpected happens, and he arrogantly believes other people feel the same. It's this compulsion of his that explains why the Kingdom Hearts storyline is an abstract collection of varying sizes of plot holes and narrative leaps that defy logic and rational thinking. He will be unable to resist the urge to alter the turning point of the entire story that many people remember; Aerith's death by the hands of Sephiroth. There is no saving this story. Nomura has too much control and he respect the source material so little the only thing we're going to be able to hope for with these games is a spectacle with familiar characters. The story is a lost cause.

You know the worst part about it all? I'm disgusted by this truth and yet I'm still going to tune into how it all falls apart. It is was it is at this point. I'm just hoping to see some cool iterations of bosses and mobs, see how the other characters turn out, and just be god damn glad that at the end of it, Yas Forums will still be shitposting and playing the OG. FUCK. I tried not to get my hopes up and I still lost

The art and design team are keeping up and doing their jobs as best as they can. A lot of little details will be present, and it's likely all of the major places you can visit will be included. It really is just the story that's going to be interfering with it all. It's like 90% of the developers are on the same page and the writing team is just shitting all over it to justify having a job.

At least in Stein"sgade time travel was part of the plot initially. Adding it in after the fact to hide poor writing is just awful.
