Will you consider implementing an option to NOT run the driver at system startup by default, and prompt for a restart upon launching the game? I would feel much more comfortable compartmentalizing my play sessions in such a way that the driver is never running unless I am playing the game.

While it's not an official option you can do this yourself by uninstalling Vanguard once you're finished playing. You can find it as "Riot Vanguard" in Add/Remove programs.
When you want to play again the patcher/launcher will reinstall Vanguard automatically and you'll be asked to reboot your system.

I wonder if there would be a market for making an anti-virus that doubles as a cheat engine.
Basically I would be third party, develop the anti-virus that does normal anti-virus bullshit, but on top of that monitors for anti-cheat programs as well as malware.
And then I'd have a handle to it that games can connect to it. And then sell it as a service to video game companies. That way you'd be installing something useful as well, and it'd work across multiple video games.
Given how bad cheating can be, especially on F2P games that attract chinks, I don't give a shit.

It doesn't do much with cheats.
A lot of 'businesses' for cheats will sell warranty if you get banned. They buy a bunch of cheap game keys while its on sale and if you pay the premium you get a free game whenever you get banned.
Yeah it will get the bottom of the barrel 12 year olds, but its hardly a real solution. Especially when you consider CS:GO's problem where basically everyone at high ranks has hacks. And games will be filled with people rage toggling.
No one cares, cheating is the number one problem in FPS games and intrusive anticheats like ESEA are the only way to reduce it

BattleEye and Punkpuster drivers only load when you run the games and automatically unload when you close them. Vanguard runs on the system level AT ALL TIMES AT RING 0 WITH FULL ADMIN PRIVILEGES you can't turn it off, you have to UNINSTALL/REINSTALL it every time.
