I kinda like nexus for the wide variety of classes
fuck doing 14 stratums though
What the fuck was his problem?
How much am I missing out not playing these on a DS and emulating them?
this thing is a nigger
being too based
I guess Yas Forums wants to shitpost about opinions instead of talking about videogames
IV would probably be my favorite if only because it was my first
And also City of Radiant Ruin is my favorite theme
Bros?
3
4
5
Nex
In that order.
A shit ton. Start with 3 and then do 4/U1/U2/5/Nex
Alright, time to go get a 3DS
2 Untold, superb game.
Enjoying 5 right now, in the third stratum. I figured I'd use the mascot botanist but somehow ended up with a completely white pigtails shaman. Potatoes are cute.
based
What the was HIS problem!?
>haha this boss seems easy
>screen pans up
Man that fight was kino as fuck.
why does the bottom face look like Primevil
That thing can read player inputs, that should say everything
I'm almost wondering if I should have used two.
Party has 2 elves, 1 human, 1 bunny, 1 potato.
EOIII is the best, no questions asked.
Don't they all do that in the 6th stratum as far as bosses go? Hell the climax boss of Pokemon USUM does that, it's not like it's anything special.
I'm curious why it resembles a Core despite being a space alien.
Because the whole stratum is the boss, literally you are walking all over it the whole time. And it looks like an alien because it's based chtulhu mythos.
They emulate just fine.
No I know the last bit, it's obviously a big evil tentacle thing like a typical Cthulhu stereotype, and I get that it's a massive motherfucker just from all the tentacles around the stratum, but that doesn't really explain why it resembles a corrupted tree heart. Didn't the 3 tree just contain it?
USUM Necrozma is not nearly as cancerous as this true final boss is, the fisrt time i encountered him, my party got wiped out first turn since i didn't expect him to be that fucking strong.
>why it resembles a corrupted tree heart
It's the reverse. The Yggdrasil hearts resemble the Abyssal God.
I mean i don't think it resembles a tree, it does look like Yggdrasil core that it's true but every true final boss in EO looks kinda like that, except UR-Child. And maybe the Star devourer.
Well no shit a Pokemon boss is a joke compared to any JRPG boss made for people over the age of 4, I was just meaning that input reading is generally expected of superbosses.
What? That would make more sense but it's very confusing all the same.
It's designed as bait, the first phase of the fight looks like Primevil and spams elemental attacks just like him too - then you reach phase 2
>I'm curious why it resembles a Core despite being a space alien
Those Untold retcons came much later user
Not really, the only things that look like that are the Etrian Core, the Lagaardian Core, and the Abyssal God, and the Lagaardian Core isn't technically the real finale.
The Ur-Child, Heavenbringer, Warped Savior, and Star Devourer don't really resemble it at all apart from general EO design conventions. UC and SD in particular simply because they're unrelated monsters created separately.
The "retcons" began with 4, not the Untolds, and even if you ignore those the thing still looks like the original 1's core.
>What? That would make more sense but it's very confusing all the same.
It will make sense once you beat 5.
I am pretty sure it was Untold that talked about 7 Yggdrasils and their cores
4 didn't even have one, either way it's still retcons because these things were decided after 1 and 3 were already made. My explanation makes the most sense because EO is not story heavy so playing with player expectations is more logical than deep lore
4 connected them all together via item descriptions, all countries prior to 4 are in trade relationships and the logs in the Hall of Darkness talked about the Yggdrasil growths for the sake of repairing the world, same as 1's. While it's less explicit than 1U's anyone can easily connect the dots.
The Heavenbringer is identical in function, biological composition, and overflow response to the other cores, only the appearance is different.
but why
Weren't the scientists stranded in labs before they could make the trees? Toxic air, mutant beasts, poison inflicted by anything they touched, breathed, ate, or drank?
