Ever since 3, the mainline Persona games are entirely separate stories with just a few fanservice nods between them. This is why spinoffs have stuff like SEES turning into shadow operatives who manage to locate the weird shit going down in the investigation team's hick town, but in mainline are nowhere to be found when Phantom Thieves start soul hacking people for public notoriety.

The day Atlus lets Door and Aigis reunite is the day I'll start playing Persona again.

Well they did mention Katsuya in P5 at least and not in that iffy canonical way like P3 did with the Who's Who deal. Who knows? The decision to not use them was basically with Hoshino because he "didn't want to disrespect the work the previous team did" or something but now that he's off of the series maybe they'll actually be willing to.

Fat chance I know but I can hope.
