I played yesterday to see where it was at.
None of the new heroes were very interesting.
None of the new maps beat any of the originals.
There's still no new modes in rotation.
And queue times were longer than ever.

It's obvious that they're holding out for OW2 but damn the game is a ghost town on PC right now. Even after getting into a game, which if you play anything but tank can take upwards of 10 minutes, you often queue with the same people every match.

Never heard of it until this very moment. Yet after checking, it appears that huge streamers playing it. Which means that it's probably paid advertising. Rather than advertise the normal way, they know that streamers are cheaper, and expose the game to those most likely to buy the game.

Riot made it so beta access is tied to watching at least 2 hours minimum of streaming, from then on each hours gives you a slightly higher percentage of being picked (With diminishing returns). This paired with the fact that a ton of shitdicks and chinese created infinite fake accounts to watch streams and get more CBT passes to sell pushes it to the top of twitch with absolutely no difficulty.

Totally shitty on their part, but excellent from a marketing perspective.
