Unironically one of the reasons I use consoles. Say what you want but in this aspect PC loses. Sure are you sending information? Yes, you have to for multiplayer, but it’s inane shit. Big data is big business these days and almost nothing about you is legally protected private information and the stuff that is legally protected private information they really just have to make sure they carefully anonymize before sharing. All companies have to do is disclose they are going to share you data in those big contracts, EULA, etc. that nobody every reads.
