Why is there no info on new zombie character types, new weapons, new environments, or maybe new game mechanics? All I hear and read about is about the shitty faggot filled story.
I liked the first game because it had great atmosphere and the gameplay was very serviceable with visceral feeling action, with a nice twist on zombies, the fact that it told a story competently with likable character was a bonus. I was hoping for a more refined product with a broader scope, better shooting/melee and crafting, with some new zombie types, but instead I get nothing but woke garbage about the story, but how is the actual fucking game though?
Is there any info on what new enemy types will we be getting? I have looked at all the trailers and read articles, but there is seriously no mention whatsoever of the fucking gameplay and zombies. What the fuck happen? I like State of Decay games as well, but was hoping with something with a bigger budget.
>I like State of Decay games as well, but was hoping with something with a bigger budget. I just realized isn't the developer owned by Microsoft? Why don't they just give them more money? They have some great idea when it comes to zombie games.

>thread about gameplay gets no responses >Yas Forums thread goes into autosage kek

The game doesn't need monsters "Homophobic christian cultists" are enough apparently
Mason Stewart
Thanks, Reddit
Brody Jenkins
user, ...I'm sorry but it's not a meme. It's real.
>Zombie Apocalypse >"Yeah, but what about the evil Christians and the fucking alphabet people" What the hell are these idiots smoking? Give me more zombie variants instead, faggots.
Nolan Mitchell
killing people is cooler than killing zombies
Isaiah Robinson
That's what was interesting about TLOU, it had as many monster hazards as it did human ones. The world in and of itself just seemed absolutely fucked, but no "dem daym christians, muh homophobia"
Xavier Sanders
>It's on Twitter, so it must be true!
Carter Harris
Microsoft bought them after development on state of decay 2 was complete
Mason Ward
Yeah, I mean, I though the whole fungous zombie aesthetic had tons of potential, but it seems like they are dropping the whole thing entirely for the sequel, there is also no mention of the combat too, which I though it was really satisfying specially on multiplayer.
Luis Williams
Crappy thing is if it was some group that was pissed at Ellie for not saving humanity that would have made way more sense.
Jace Richardson
Still don't get why they need to be pushing fucking religion into this fucking thing, seems unnecessarily divisive and forced.
Jaxon Parker
Wasn't there word long ago that there was not going to be any infected enemies?
I hope it's why the game was delayed. They somehow figured out that most people don't want a game about a dyke's murderous revenge.
Parker Sanders
i dont get like 90% of your complaint, though. the 10% i can agree with is no info on new zombies, but i suspect that's because the game's universe is slightly more grounded and any new zombies will likely be boss variants with the old types returning.
from the gameplay they've shown, it seems to obviously be more of the same with melee physics being given a pass for an even more visceral feel than the first one.
i mean, what new weapons and gadgets could they reasonably add? fucking laser guns?
they already had bows, knives, hatchets, bats, crowbars, low and high calibur pistols, rifles, shotguns, fucking flamethrowers, grenades, IEDs, etc etc... how many new weapon types can they reasonably add in a post-apocalypse of our "real world"?
>inb4 anybody calls me a fanboy
i dont own a playstation, i plan to watch it on youtube because it's probably going to be a decent 7/10 mini-series length movie.
>"rumours" are based on a post that was made on Yas Forums which had no source and claimed to be from someone who's dad "worked at naughty dog" stop taking things at face value, a fact check takes like 2 mins
Logan Hill
>more grounded There is nothing grounded about a fucking zombie apocalypse, dude.
Gavin Stewart
Because they want to just push some kind of narrative like with the "This isn't a game it's art. You shouldn't have fun with it." thing
Henry Reyes
the clicker zombies were visually one of the most interesting things about the OG game, and you could tell they knew that with how much of a presence they had in the marketing and trailers. even the basic infected visibly looked in pain and had these eerie screams about them that made fighting them more visceral than basic grunts. cant understand why theyve gone with this ultra-generic cultist look, boring robes and everything.
if they had a kind of junk aesthetic it might be cool, as is it honestly feels like an enemy group from a totally different series have upsurped the more interesting enemies from the first game. the biggest reason i think a lot of people arent interested in this game is it just genuinely looks boring and disjointed. not surprised to hear naughty dog were bleeding talent working on it.
Elijah Jenkins
which is why i used the qualifier "slightly more", you smoothbrained faggot.
the game's premise is some dumb ass disease happened to (our) real world. no magic, no sci-fi, no fantasy. literally just taking the piss with how biology works, ya pedantic bitch. quit being obtuse.
Look at this try hard. Look at this angry child and laugh.
Benjamin Jackson
They've biodegraded by this point. Realistically they would've already broken down only a few months after the outbreak. Clinically dead flesh only stays sturdy for so long before it decomposes and liquefies in time.
Joshua Williams
They are not dead though, more like mutants
Oliver Smith
>Mushroom people >Not sci-fi at best Nigga, please
Not an argument
Julian Roberts
wait there are zombies in TLOU 2?
Jayden Torres
I hate TLOU. Remember the first mission with a clicker? They tell you to sneak up on it and mellee it from behind and to sneak to kill them. But if you do that its an automatic kill, and you actually have to avoid the clicker. How did that make the final cut of the game? How could they fuck up so bad? Otherwise its a long, boring, and melodramatic game that goes on way too long.
Brandon Bailey
A real rumor.
Noah Carter
I don't think anyone waiting for this game cares about the gameplay, they all assume it's gonna be the same as the first game.
Caleb Green
>literally just taking the piss with how biology works okay, autist, it's basically star trek, then - you win. pre-emptive spoiler though: the zombies won't get cool new magical powers and humanity won't figure out space marine rifles.
there are no zombies in this game, you just fight racist bigot nazis, and play jewish carpet munching mini games.
Charles Robinson
Humans, specifically white conservative males, are the real monsters.
Jordan Wright
Welcome to "humans are the real monsters" emphasis, where it's all about the bad people and the spore-infected mutants are a sideshow. It happens to everything zombie/outbreak-related nowadays, The Walking Dead just turned into a pure mess because of it among other reasons.
Michael Williams
Last of Us really shouldn't have a sequel.
Especially when the creator doubles down on retardation politics
Jackson Campbell
>welcome >that was the same emphasis the first game had >implying it's new
what the fuck would your zombie media even look like? they find a safe place and then we watch them just hang out peacefully until they die of old age because zombies aren't suddenly going to figure out how to not be retarded?
also, nowadays? like, since zombie media started in the 70s?
>b-but pol Kill yourself. Wouldn't be surprised if you were in those threads bumping them.
Ayden Morris
This. Even before it became a political thing, I knew this was a miserable and creatively bankrupt idea. The game did not need a sequel and was in fact made not to have one. That ending was meant to be definitive. But of course narrative integrity will always take a backseat to greed in this industry.
Liam Anderson
>definitive >they don't know where they're going >joel lies, unclear reception from ellie >no cure for the fungus >they just enraged a country spanning paramilitary organization
