Let it go user, the franchise is permananetly ruined forever.

You can't look at this fucking character design and tell me it's "cool" or "badass" he legit looks like Chibi with that stupid dog collar

y tho

Is he meant to be cool? He’s a whiny Canadian

90% of the reason to have a remake would be to fix Steve.

Trannies, RE7 killed it by pandering to zoomers & RE2 sent it further in the grave with remake culture & resetera pandering

I'm gonna replay it. I'll gonna stream it. I hope you all watch it.

Great idea, user. Now capcom saw your comment and they are going to fuck Code Veronica too.

How did RE7 pander to zoomers? It was incredibly close to the original RE formula, it wasn't good but it did nothing for zoomers.

It wasn't great. Could use a remake way more than 4.

>Trannies
Trannies this, trannies that, do you cuss out the tranny cabal every time you stub your toe you fucking nigger.

its too transphobic so they skipped it as recommended by the (((ethics department)))

its coming, so is remake 1b

He's not to meant look cool, he's meant to be akin to a chuuni

On the one hand;
Remakes should build upon and/or fix issues found in the original, and it makes more sense to remake/fix a mess like CV than it would be to remake/fix a masterpiece like RE4 or Remake
On the other hand;
CV (and by extension CVX) is such a mess of a game that I can't see anyone getting excited over a remake of it
To be honest, I'd rather they focus on 8, as well as 9 and/or a hypothetical Rev 3, I think all the games that it would make sense to have remakes for have been accounted for and trying to remake anything else at this point would be simply be busywork

They're probably trying to get rid of the dumbest shit in RE and CV is where it started getting REALLY dumb.

It's fine, Cloud crossdressing stayed so Alfred's shit can stay too.

Claire should't be so intolerant considering her own tendencies.

>RE2
>resetera pandering
?????????????

>RE4
>masterpiece
dumb zoomer

>Ada (Asian) is hot
>Leon (red-blooded American) obviously fancies that
>Claire/Sherry/Anette (ostensibly White) are not hot
>Leon fancies none of them
>"S-stupid resetera Capcom, they're giving White women a bad name! How dare they!?"

Is CV disliked among the classic REs?
I started playing it recently and while it's got a lot of annoying things, the core gameplay seems alright. It's about equal to 0 so far.

Say it with me now: bad games don't get remakes

Because it's easier to remake a game right now that they have the engine for, they're lazy. Re2 and Re3 remake were made in the modern resident evil engine, they have modern tools, models, and stuff to work with. And they actually held onto the info from the gamecube games as seen by Re1 and Zero HD remakes, as well as the porting of RE4 everywhere.

RECV cant be loaded into the RE engine as far as I know, its too old, the original source is probably gone, and it'd be too hard for them to actually do. Capcom's modern developers know RE4 like the back of their hand, doing a remake of their flagship RE title is not only profitable, its easier for the uncreative and lazy new age Resident evil team.

tl;dr they'd have to remake the game from the ground up, much like they did with REmake on the gamecube. its easier to just do 4, especially now without Shinji Mikami and the old team to hold their hand creatively.

take either answer, they're both correct.

It should at least be DLC for RE3R.

steve's voice actor is soooooo bad in a bad way and not bad in a goodway like the rest of the resident evil voice actors

>Ada (Asian) is hot
Not compared to 4, but at least it's not 6.
>Leon (red-blooded American) obviously fancies that
>Leon fancies none of them
I mean, that's the same as the original.

It sort of has to be broken down like such;
>Visually the game is rather dull, environments are rather drab and bereft of detail compared to 2 and 3, not helped by the mist/fog filter that makes everything harder to see
>Game is just as over the top as the other games, but tries to be more serious in a way that comes across as poorly done, imagine the difference between Wacky-Fun (RE2, 3, 4) and Wacky-Stupid (CV, RE5)
>Knife is broken to fuck and makes the game too easy; don't use it though and you do run the risk of running out of ammo at specific parts
>Too many instances of bosses with either a) poorly telegraphed insta kill moves, and b) relating back to the ammo issue, health pools in which you may literally not have enough ammo to win
>Generally uninspired enemy/boss designs, nothing as engaging or memorable as those in previous titles
>Moths; seriously, fuck em

Long and short of it is this; even though CV was made with substantially more money and Nemesis was meant to be a budgeted side-story as opposed to a numbered title, CV feels like a super cheap budget title compared to the actual budget title that was Nemesis

Of course Leon doesn't give a fuck about other women in the RE universe no matter how attractive they might be. His yellow fever for Ada is simply too extreme. That's why he No Way Fag's every girl that isn't Ada.

Should note, I don't know where was coming from, I just have to assume that's what it was especially with the oddly specific Claire-waifu threads and the "fuck you Ada you slant-eyed gook" posts in the months leading up to REmake 3 after it's initiall announcement

>knife is broken as fuck and makes the game too easy
Really? It seems like a typical knife so far, and doesn't do much against the zombies or the 1-arm guys. I'm playing CVX for what it's worth. Is there a trick to it?

>just finished playing through OG Resident Evil for the first time
>looks up some stuff on Youtube and it turns out that the order in which you chose to explore the mansion and some choices you make will result in completely different scenes playing out
Fuck I had no idea, I thought it was just two different scenarios depending on which character you picked. This is some impressive shit for a game released in 1996. Sucks that I missed a bunch of cool scenes though. Are OG RE2 and 3 like this too?

Aim for the legs
The knife has a weird property to it where it deals multiple hits per swing, one swing at a zombie's legs is enough to down them, and stabbing them on the ground will stun lock them to death in about 2-3 hits

Not really.
RE2 has something called "zapping" where if you do something in the A playthrough, it will have consequences in the B playthrough, but both only have one ending
RE3 only has one playthrough, but has a split decision option litter throughout the game where you have two choices depending to choose from and entering story locations in different orders also results in different scenes playing.
