4) Furthermore there are a lot of supply and logistical issues all the way down the chain, again due to the pandemic. It's not like they can ressuply their sold out stocks nearly as fast. We've already seen delays of other major releases precisely because of that.

There are about a hundred factors that affect physical sales. AC released earlier and there is a huge difference in a week or two in people's behavior. I'm not in the UK but in my country people gave me a judgmental look when I wore a half-face mask, then a week later the lockdown was much more well enforced and people instead of giving me the side-eye started asking where to buy my mask.
Considering the peak of the virus in the UK is right now it's no wonder everything is more crippled.
Even unrelated to the virus, it's pretty obvious Nintendo would supply more copies of one of their best selling 1st party titles, compared to SquareEnix's publishing branches (or whomever is doing it for them). And lastly, AC is simply more popular, this is like making fun of Persona5 by comparing it to Pokemon, GranTurismo or GTA sales.

I'm also right that things change REALLY quickly. You don't release a statement that "sales are higher!" from yesterday's numbers. Before shit hit the fan people didn't mind going out as much, and logistics weren't as shit.
