You can find Combat Evolved and then install Halo Custom Edition. There are still full servers. Most are CTF on Blood Gulch.

For Halo CE, just download it from the pirate bay or halomaps. Get one of the thousand keys online and use that.

You will need patch 1.10 to play the bungie server since the gamespy ones closed down. You will also need HAC2 to download custom maps from within the game.

That's it. There are 500 people daily as of quarintine, before then it was 300 people playing. They've upgraded the gameplay as you don't need to guess where lag will lead the bullet to anymore, you can favorite servers and there's new gamemodes. The only downside is creating games imply setting a dedicated server with other tools and for some reason people don't play custom maps very often anymore.

Just sit on any custom map server and people will start coming though.

Who the fuck pays for Halo CE? It's literally 20 year old deadware which was officially killed off 6 years ago and fans have kept it on life support since then.

Also, for Halo "3" Online, you can get ElDewrito from TPB and use the updater from the reddit thread. Only 30 people play though.

Halo 2 online is good, you can find almost full lobbies of game modes such as Slayer or CTF. Infection is still a popular mode.

There are online custom maps but they are some that were developed well and some that aren't. In some cases, some people on Infection would find a way to get out the intended play area and just snipe with BRs.
