Cowboy dude is genuinely an awful design but I agree for some parts, the zombie dude is really cool. You're actually playing as the snake, per se, he's the one controlling the zombie. It's neat.

I've heard the game is fine just everything else like art, music, characters, voicelines, ui, etc is bad.
It's their in progress game between being solo and being bought by MS. And it seems like MS didn't really believe in it too much seeing that it's self published and they just let them shit it out with zero marketing.

It's honestly not bad of a game. The character designs are all ass though. And go ahead and look up the unreleased character.
I hate hero games in general so I don't like it much, same problem as overwatch where it's all team battles so if the other team is better you are having absolutely 0 fun. The map design is leagues better than the hallway straight line shit in overwatch however.
It would of done decently well for itself if it learned from blizzard and other successful games and just made waifus
