this is absolute unadulterated kino, I must say
This is absolute unadulterated kino, I must say
reminder that the red prince did nothing wrong
Is 1 worth bothering with first?
Its definitely not underrated you retard
Should I play it?
Is there a definitive version with all the best DLC and stuff?
What exactly is source magic and why is it different from regular magic.
>reading comprehension
this is absolute unadulterated govno
>larian writing
>armor system
>retarded initiative system
>can't speed up combat
it's a good game but has a more janky and low budget feeling than 2, and the story is very whimsical
>Have Fane specced for fire and earth spells only
>Get to the oil rig fight
Had to spend a few thousand bucks to turn Fane into a rogue and Sebille into a electric mage
It's pretty alright. The lizards are cute.
Well, yeah. Someone asked him at a party "what do you think would be an effective way of dealing with (x) problem", and the next morning, he heard that the Divine had ordered a massive deathfog attack on elfkind. He was as horrified as everyone else.
>armor system
lol filtered
I'm not finding the writing too bad. It's still interesting enough that I'm not stealing from or am being needlessly cruel to good people in the world. I am more quick to murder shitty people though.
The armor system is too binary. Initiative sucks. I'm still having a lot of fun with it though. Exploration is great and combat still feels good.
Im not sure if I like how heavily reliant it is on quick saving and loading though. Like gimmick stuff out of nowhere. The scarecrow or the witch on fire.
Still though, having a good time and am midway through act 2 I think.
Absolute utter zoomer trash.
i was more thinking about about getting in trouble for summoning a succubus and dooming the worl- reviving dragons
I'm going to get flamed for this, but please bear in mind I don't play video games often, I work full time and I'm a husband and father, and I'm a little older than most of the people that post here I'm sure. I haven't played a top down RPG since... Fallout 2 I believe. I was a little lost in this game, it was very difficult for me, despite playing on explorer difficulty. I guess I just wasn't sure what to do, where to go, how to start building a viable character. My party members continued to die, and I ran out of Resurrection Scrolls at one point. I ended up just dropping the game. It seemed really fun, I guess I just couldn't wrap my mind around it.
you need points in necromancy, my man. it heals you for 10% per point of any damage you do
Oh, that. Yeah, dragons are awesome, don't know what that candy-ass was worried about. Not like anyone's dumb enough to not break the contract the princess has with the bad guy.
Pillars of Eternity might be more to your liking if you want a modern cRPG. Disco Elysium is good too if you liked Planescape: Torment back in the day.
I did like that game, wow, I had completely forgotten about it. I played that game when I was just getting out of college. Thank you, I will look these up. My son recommended Divinity 2 to me, actually.
I will give that a shot when I try the game again, thank you.
Is the switch port playable?
Yes, lizards were very kinos. Thank goodness the dev didn't go full retard and make them Navi like that retarded bitch in Commander because they think they're not attractive to human enough
>Disco Elysium is good too if you liked Planescape: Torment back in the day.
this game is fucking boring
Open the OP image, friendo
you're boring, suck a cock
but maybe there is an even more definitive edition with more content now
They have cloacae. They poop from the hole you put your peepee in
I'm in the same boat as you with the kids/work/age etc. Even still, I think you should come back to it.
When you get a character, think of what you want them to accomplish. 2handed warrior that gets in their way, dagger rogue, archer, mage, etc. Then build accordingly.
Also keep in mind mobility is incredibly strong. If you have a 2h warrior invested in warfare, a single point in Scoundrel will get you access to Adrenaline, which gives you more AP immediately at the cost of your next turn, as well as Cloak and Dagger, which let's you jump to a spot at a range.
Also the talents The Pawn and Executioner are very strong. Each character should have one of them.
I just really hate the armor system and how few action points you have. when you had way more in the first one it felt like it gave more options because the skills could be more varied in AP cost to account for strength.
so
You had a lot more AP in the first one, but everything costed so much more. Very often you would find yourself unable to cast things on the first round of combat. It made haste and adrenaline a lot more necessary, I found. Also a lot of turns spent saving AP for next rounds. I prefer the AP squish, with everything costing between 1 and 3 points.
>try playing a skelly geomancer to mess with acid healing
>all the baddies set my puddles on fire
>be a skelly rogue
>steal every skillbook to keep my party up to date with abilities
>finger every fucking hole I ever see with my boney finger lockpick that never breaks
>get fuckboy mage on my team to attack me with dual poison wands or poison dart
Shit was pretty cherry
It's your own fault for playing a skeleton, user. Next time, play something that isn't a bad guy.
The actual cancer of the second game is source points and source abilities. You'll be able to use them more freely only somewhere in the late-middle part of the game and then literaly every goddamn enemy can dry source points from you. THey also not so much powerfull, but you'll need more memory for them and you can't use it very ofter anyway.
Also fuck cursed flames, you can bless some water surfaces during battles but it's useless since every fucking enemy also start to spread this shit.
