>original midgar ending The team escapes the Shinra building in a tense car chase. They look ahead at road's end, leaving midgar in search of the mysterious sephiroth, who hasn't been seen in years. A somber moment that promises their adventure has just begun.
>"remake" Midgar ending BUT THEN Sephiroth appears! He travels back THROUGH TIME to change his OWN DEATH and is a SUPER SINISTER EVIL GUY. He cuts the whole Shinra BUILDING IN HALF AND THROWS A SKYSCRAPER AT THE PARTY and they have an EPIC FIGHT WHERE THEY FLY AROUND AND CHOP BUILDINGS IN HALF AND SEPHIROTH GROWS A LITERAL black WING for some reason AND AHHHHHHHGHGGGGGGHHHHH
Seriously... Why?
How did this get past the board of directors? Why did they let him do this?
Do you really think leaving Midgar as presented in the original game would have been a good enough climax for part 1? It works in the original because it's the end of the tutorial area - the real game has only just begun. In the remake, it's the ending of the ENTIRE game
Motor ball would not have been a good final boss.
Jeremiah Williams
It's about escalation dude. Where the fuck do they go from here after throwing buildings, fighting a giant time titan, and getting blown up by a fucking meteor?
Mason Nguyen
Yes. People already said the game could have ended in the Town and Cloud telling hes backstory this game is beyond raped
Ethan Carter
You want the real answer?
Because Sephiroth has to appear in this game, and it has to be big. Normies expect him. You have to fight Sephiroth.
The game has to have a big climax. It can't just end on an emotional note. They don't want people to feel unsatisfied.
In the FF7 extensions and cash grabs, big time stupid nonsense action scenes are the norm. People have played those and they want action. They want high flying, crazy stuff out of nowhere.
Tetsuya has been with ff7 from the original. They trust him to know what's up, and they're afraid to intervene.
This had to happen. It's a game made to sell.
It's a game, not art.
Daniel Sullivan
based nomura making normies SEETHE
Benjamin Cruz
Considering the ending makes it clear this is a sequel and they're not beholden to the original game it could go wherever they want
Jonathan Lopez
Yep, it could have been absolutely incredible
Even at it's worst it wouldn't ruin everything with utter retardation.
Normies love this shit, they love Advent children and crisis core, and they adore this remake if you hadn't noticed
James Taylor
You are so amazingly stupid, you don't even comprehend the point he is making
Lincoln Scott
I'm sorry but after all the over the top shit I doubt nomura can even top it. Well written stories are about escalations of threat, and after getting blown up by a meteor, slashing buildings in half, and naruto running all over the place the story has nowhere else to escalate. Every fight and encounter after will never reach that same level unless Nomura pulls a DBZ powerlevel episode over and over. Nomura can't write worth a shit and doesn't know how stakes work.
Jose Bell
I'm a FF7 purist who hates Crisis Core and Advent Children and I like the remake. At the very least anything retarded I dont like can be written off as alternate universe/timeline shit
Asher Baker
seething normie lol
Christian Howard
I guess you'll be writing off a large portion of the game while defending it then, something cucked beyond imagining
Luke Reed
>cloud can cut buildings in half and jump 50ft in the air >can't even move a dresser without help
Wyatt Myers
>Remove all the time jannies shit >Include elements from Kalm and Junon like the flashback and parade >At the end of the motorcycle chase Sephiroth appears and you have a shot fight before he leaves and you fight Jenova Birth then the game ends so Part 2 can begin when they arrive in Costa Del Sol
Literally all they had to do.
Jace Sullivan
Yeah, this is really terribly stupid,
The whole setting is made on a street level powerscale generally, then it just goes full Dragonball whenever they want it to
Justin Garcia
There's a lot more than that. The entire story is fucked and relies on having played the original to even understand what's going on.
Hunter Cox
You forgot that they then go into the dimension of the time traveling ghost janitors to fight a time god
Nathan Gray
This, why the fuck did they even include zack? Does that mean zack is gonna have KH esque powers and also fly through time and dimension to find the party?
David Edwards
Nomura (and kitase) need a fucking tard wrangler, SAKAGUCHI WHERE YOU AT!
Matthew Nguyen
Why do you just want the exact same game? The original is still there. It's pretty good.
Benjamin Taylor
>people are picking up STEEL FUCKING BEAMS over their shoulders in the ending when they're trying to rebuild
Ian Clark
Because people know crisis core and they expect him to be there
Again, it's a game they made to sell, not art
James Wright
>Do you really think leaving Midgar as presented in the original game would have been a good enough climax for part 1
It's stupid and bad on its own qualities, and a letdown otherwise, just accept it,
Grayson Barnes
You're not a FF7 purist.
Wyatt Carter
Literally just go watch any shonen manga
Jonathan Ortiz
I want the new game with original story is it that hard to understand? I love the new combat
Parker Sanders
No, the climax for part 1 should've been where disc 1 ended (or at least close to it), instead of trying to pad out Midgar with a bunch of tedious bullshit
Michael Robinson
>Considering the ending makes it clear this is a sequel >considering the ending makes it clear >the ending Yes, user, the ending is what really got me thinking about it being a different game not anything that precursors the it.
David Cruz
>dude there's no way X would have worked in the remake! i mean, it worked the first time and the game became one of the biggest classics of all time, but obviously changing a formula that already worked perfectly will make it a double classic!
Jeremiah Bell
They should have just had you fight Sephiroth, but not AC style, and then a trippy JENOVA fight at the end. That way its epic enough of a climax but not full Nomura retarded levels. Time jannies also need to not exist at all. If they want to take liberties with the story, fine, just do it. We dont need some weird multiple timeline janitor bullshit to justify things, because that's just convoluted and retarded
William Roberts
Half you faggots probably werent even born by the time FF7 originally came out. I enjoyed the OG when it released and I'm enjoying this one (i still have my black disk copy of FF7, fight me.)
Jeremiah Jenkins
They could have just ended with a jenova fight. There would also have been nothing wrong with a fellowship of the ring style ending after motorball though
Elijah Gonzalez
>LotR fag >Having a valid opinion at all
Hudson Parker
How are you a purist if you approve of enormous changes? Thats contradictory
