>drops me into deepnest from fungal wastes >figure the only way out is through >spend hours getting a tram pass and searching ancient basin and kingdom's edge to learn that the only way out is back through deepnest >proceed to die twice trying to get back >lose my geo because my shade knocks me into spikes with a fucking fireball this game is ass and the knight is a fucking bitch boy eat my ass team cherry
not to mention that >deepcarver spawns >hit with nail >it doesnt stagger the deepcarver, when every other enemy outside of bosses get staggered by nail hits >proceed to take damage because deepcarvers can facetank the first nail hit ezpz dare i say, bugged. >inb4 git gud
I respect your opinion, though hold disagreements. I hope that your playthrough transforms into a positive experience.
David Cox
>I am bad at an easy game >this isn't an issue of personal skill, but game quality instead now imagine OP playing something like Rain World or La Mulana
Christopher Reyes
Geo doesn't matter in this game. You get more than enough when you progress.
Christopher Walker
Unironically git gud
Aiden Garcia
I also do not like this game very much, but I strongly suspect that buying this and Ori at the same time was my mistake and created a huge bias against it, I probably owe it another shake at some point.
Jacob Ross
I mean its true, git gud. This is the greatest metroidvania of all time and the general consensus is that its great. Cope, and stay filtered.
Eli Hill
Don't defend mediocrity because it has pretty visuals. You're better than this.
Landon Carter
Just wait until you get to knight watchers and have to walk 5 fucking minutes from the nearest bench every time you die.
Landon Johnson
just don't die
Anthony Hall
>Hard area is hard Gee thanks. What are you, a fucking games journalist? Do you want want a medal of bravery for admitting to taking damage in a game where you can heal yourself?
Op why do you need to make this thread all the time? Why are you so obsessed?
Oliver Clark
>Deepnest exploration from fungal caverns. For some this was a very enjoyable experience, though I understand being annoyed by it. Also, I'm pretty sure there are multiple ways to get back from ancient basin and kingdoms edge to city of tears. >Deepcarver (whatever that is) If you have been just wailing at enemies without paying any attention to them up to deepnest, good thing you encountered something where you have to use your brain. >Bugged I didn't discover a single bug in my 4 playthroughs. >inb4 git gud If you don't like the game, you can stop playing it. You've played quite a lot of it now, so you know what the game will be like.
Caleb Moore
Maybe you should play the game first, because I know you havent. Youre better than this.
Kayden Anderson
The game becomes shit the momment the spores are released everywhere. It goes from comfy to stressfull.
Brayden Wright
>when every other enemy outside of bosses get staggered by nail hits but this isn't true. there are even enemies in the first area of the game that don't get staggered or knocked back from taking hits, like the giants. I'm pretty sure shield guys also don't
Adam Jenkins
>I didn't discover a single bug in my 4 playthroughs
Isaiah Hernandez
I can't imagine anyone would play this and think it's the best metroidvania, unless it was their first one.
Bentley Gomez
played this game for like 5 minutes
Luke Powell
So did you get filtered at the first or second boss?
Chase Richardson
>Instantly moves goalposts cause he hasn’t played the game Fucking pathetic lol
Robert Brooks
Wut? You said yourself that it was the greatest metroidvania.
David Thomas
This game would be good if they just put a fucking save room near boss rooms like any decent metroidvania does
Lucas Johnson
>vast and full of content >zero flaws >looks good >does everything at least well. does exploration better than some of the other best metroidvanias I don't no if I personally would call it the best in it's genre. I'm not that guy. but It's up there with the best.
Gabriel Bell
I dropped it after getting the dream nail because it was boring.
Noah Perry
Reminder to just ignore Hollow Knight threads where OP uses the 2nd google images result.
Sorry that ya suck. Might I suggest some Nintendo bing bing wahoo titles that might be a little easier on your punk bitch sensibilities?
Carter James
I love Deepnest exactly for being bullshit. Here is a tip tough Going down-left on Deepnest would eventualy take you to a village, that has a stag station in the top of it Also, I'm pretty sure you could leave trough Kingdom's Edge on a secret entrace that takes you to the locked in the city . It was how I got inside when I did some skips.
Mason Jenkins
The levels are way too big for the amount of mobility you have. Exploring them for the first time is fun, but backtracking is groan-inducing
Lucas Gonzalez
>hates getting lost and exploring uncharted territory >proceeds to buy a metroidvania
>the levels are way to big for the ability to blast across them as opposed to most other examples of the genre where the fastest mobility options are limited to specific locations or where most mobility options only slow you down besides, Hollow Knight moves pretty quick even without the rocket move, but you're probably going to keep repeating this non-provable "it's slow" argument anyway
Liam Gutierrez
>same thread >same image >same baited reponses Just play, ignore mongoloids with boring life and chill
deep nest is one of the best experiences I've ever had in a video game, and I wish Hollow Knight had more sections like that where it just drops you in hell with no save or map or easy way out
