Bump

It was good

It’s shit

it was alright, mgsv was better

they clearly spent too much money on the marketing and getting the actors than the gameplay

no, and the fact that you even consider asking is evidence that you will get opposition to your question.

Tell me what was good then.
I don’t understand dumbasses who tell their opinion without explaining their reasons for it.
Death Stranding was shit and the story was also shit.

>I don’t understand dumbasses who tell their opinion without explaining their reasons for it.
>Death Stranding was shit and the story was also shit.
The irony.

>gameplay is slow and boring
>combats are not fun and the animations are poorly made
>the bosses are SHIT

>the story doesn’t make sense, has major plotholes and deus ex machina moments (why was amelie willing to «rush» things when she’s basically immortal)
>no memorable moments except Cliff spawning cigarettes

Game should've been horror. I feel that Kojima has unexplored talent in that genre.

Another point
>Cliff is one of the best soldiers of all time but can’t even escape a poorly secured facility
Smh that one was SO FUCKING BAD

Couldn’t agree more.
And he should also let somebody supervise his writing

Bump

It's not great, but at least it's an unique experience.

The game would have benefited from refined mechanics, a little more explanation, and a simpler UI without visual clutter.

nah it isn't. can't wait til it comes to pc btw thanks for beta testing btw

No, OP, the game is good, fuck you and your shitty opinion

dark souls

botw

the entirety of Metal Gear story

>no memorable moments except Cliff spawning cigarettes
just because you didn't play the game doesn't mean the game doesn't have memorable moments, even just specific music playing during gameplay is very fondly remembered by me

It was interesting, but not in a good way.
I'm really just glad SOMEONE in the AAA sector is experimenting with new gameplay styles besides run, drive & shoot.

Completely agreed. MGS V was amazing and people criticize it then praise this garbage

I played it bro, don’t care about your shitty music it was bad

>Five months later
>Nu-Yas Forums still seething

Don’t troll nigger give your opinion

The multiplayer isn't worthy of the name. There is very little action. The one thing it does well is making basic traversal and inventory management more essential but this is never towards a greater action goal but is instead now the focus itself. If they wedded this new transversal content to an existing stealth or survival game design like MGSV or Metro or Far Cry maybe it could have been great. The crafting aspects are gimmicky trash. Kojima didn't learn that in MGS4 and V most items were already extraneous. He needs to cut down on the quantity and make each item deeper and more complex.

>the first time you are introduced to the BT's at the truck
>the crematorium
>the MULE presentation
>the mall/town with a bunch of bt's
>the mountain
These aren't even fucking part of the story which has even more memorable moments(although some for the wrong reasons), they're just stuff you go through during gameplay

The world is too fucking empty. I wanted to explore shit but besides collectibles there's nothing worth finding or doing so walking and driving around becomes completely meaningless after you finish building the roads and a decent zipline network.

Shit game, Shit scifi game design.
Kojima should have remade The Oregon Trail, where you have to travel with a wagon crew and sling ropes and bridges to cross rivers. It would have had more meaning than this shitty scifi nonsense made only to showoff to his celebrity friends.

>spend all your budget on famous actors and good graphics
>make a game that is 'facebook, with walking and carrying stuff'

If you loved it - that's nice - but most people were never going to find this game very appealing. What little combat that is in the game is lame, and the boss fights are a joke - which makes it even more of a slap to the face.

GOTY 2019 and the biggest plebfilter of all time

No, we can not.
It was refreshingly original, even if it wasn't perfect.

It was fine but it had way too much hype. Kojima would do better to release his games more lowkey like PT.

>play the game more, so other people can use what you build to play it less - as a reward
>the main game is literally a meta 'punishment' unless other people are playing and building stuff for you to bypass it.

I swear, Kojima fags...

What game?

Any game that - for the most part - does not reward player exploration...is almost by default a shit game.

I mean - what's the point?...

It was a great game and I look forward to replaying it on PC, cope

DS specifically has collectibles littered around the landscape for autists like you

Is this game worth £35 ($44)? It's very divided, so I may as well just try it for myself desu.

No son, DS was easily not only the best game of 2019, but one of the greatest games in the past 10 years.

Just beat it for the first time ever last month. Got good 150 hours out of it. Gonna totally buy it again when it arrives on Steam.

How would you fix Death Stranding, Yas Forums?

how does the story not make sense, this is retarded

Absolutely. The amount of content and surprises it offers are just amazing, and the audio-visual presentation is top-notch.
Make sure to keep the Online features on.

What new gameplay style did Death Stranding have?

Surprises ?????? Name one that doesn’t concern the stupid main plot

I don't know if this is supposed to be "ironic" or not, but I guess I don't really have much else to do during the lockdown.

The actual super-detailed simulation of maneuvering on varying terrain types, affected by your load's weight and shape?
The absolutely necessary pacifist approach to even combat?

>pls don't name a single thing that would actually matter!!
Fuck of ESL-fag. At no point early on did I expect to find myself in the middle of a World War 1 combat zone.
