Any resources spent towards a DMC1/DMC3/etc remake would be better put towards a new game. DMC1 was a product of its time and should be left alone.
I did like RE2make a lot but I think it would have almost certainly been better if it was called RE8 and had its own setting and cast, with the mechanics otherwise being the same.

No, because DMC1 is a particular style of game that the later DMC games don't really capture. Any "remake" would just inject modern DMC design choices. Legitimately the only way I would enjoy this game being remade is if Kamiya directed it, if not leave it alone. If anything tell Capcom to fix the HD Collection of it.

It doesn't take a 3-hour video for people to realize DMC1 would be ruined by a remake.

The best they could do is toss in a line about Mundus' energy weakening Dante as the excuse for cutting off his styles and knee-capping his movement. DMC3+ Dante in DMC1 would be too big of a deviation. That's not to say it can't be done.

I don't know who the fuck you're talking about but just the way the Style Meter behaves in DMC1 and the later DMC games are totally different, if it was changed to a the modern implementation of the Style Meter DMC1 would be a worse game because it would mean enemy HP bloat.

Why not remake fucking DMC2? The game that's ACTUALLY in need of improvement? That'd be a WAY better allocation of resources and work than remaking a game that's already good. I hate this idea that every great old game needs to be "remade" when the original product is perfectly fine as it is. Most of them need only remasters at the very most. Save the "remakes" for the games that would actually BENEFIT from it.

Remakes that exist to improve upon to original game and utilise concepts they couldn’t apply to the original game while also using the experience the devs have gained in the years since the original game was developed born and died with REmake. Now remakes are just a way for developers to profit off of nostalgia by making a brand new game and giving it a coat of paint to make it look like a 20 year old game that sold really well for them
