Wesker wasn't really relevant in those games those
He's only notable in RE1, Code Veronica, and of course RE5 (and probably some other ones im forgetting)

He isn't mentioned in the original RE2 and 3 user.

Code Veronica starts decently but nosedives pretty hard. It isn't really enjoyable by the end. It's about the same quality as 0 I'd say. I'd love a remake of 1 but truer to the original.

I really didn't like that the zombies can't really be killed in the demo for 2. That's not what Resident Evil was like. I love finding and collecting ammo and it's rewarding to defeat the zombies.

Could do without Crimson Heads this time though.

Better yet, just make an original in the same style and not another remake.

I know he wasn't relevant, but I know how games are written. There were no foreshadowing, hence the high probability of there not being any plans for a Code Veronica remake. They're not going to remake the original REmake, and they're not going to drop a character like that cold turkey without any exposition for new players which is the target demographic for the focus group of the newer RE titles.

Well he """Died""" In RE1 so there wasn't any reason for Jill or anyone else to talk about him causing the whole outbreak
Wesker really doesn't become an apparent character post RE1 until Code Veronica, then after that he dies in 5.

and remaking a game is much cheaper, lazier, and easier to do than to make a brand new game

He really was though. He was good in RE1 when he was a villain pulling the strings from the shadows. After RE1 he turned into Neo and became awful. CV would set the stage for the action zoomer garbage that was 4/5/6.

It's not the 90s anymore. You can't just say "It's meant to be shit" as excuse for something being shit. It's just shit. Bad Japanese writing is passe. Wesker sucks. Always did.
