Off the top of my head? A proper 2-D Mario would be nice, I guess- secret exits and warp zones instead of star coins, a nice cel-shaded aesthetic (inspired by the official art of SMB3/World) instead of that awful, plastic-y look, the option to turn Charles Martinet's voice off...
