>Star wars game
Let me stop you there. That's all the effort you need for it to make money.
No. Star Wars is dead. With the Disney buyout and closing of Lucasarts, there will never be any new SW game that will be genuinely fun. Battlefront 2 became fun when EA finally revamped the lootbox bullshit, but the damage is done and there aren't so many new players returning to this game for obvious reasons. Fallen Order was dumb luck and it's a combination of various games with Dark Souls as the base.
So forget about Jedi Knight III, Empire at War II, KoTOR III, Imperial Commando and more. Our only hope is that Corona will be around long enough for Disney to go bankrupt. The comic industry is already dead.
people actual enjoy third person open world single player mmos?
>single player mmo
what did he mean by this
It's brutally simple. SW was THE franchise when it came to video games. There was no genre that Lucasarts wouldn't touch to create something new and entertaining. There was no experiment that Lucasarts wouldn't go and do. SW video games set the trends back in the past. With the studio closing and everything generally going the proverbial shithole with the sequel trilogy being a thing, the old EU being defenestrated and all the actual good things also getting shafted, I don't see anything good happening anymore.
>this exists as a giant cocktease

>start as force user
No.
You should be force sensitive regardless, but cant do anything about it unless you specifically pursue it.
Only hoping that Corona-chan will be around long enough for Disney to go bankrupt. They are already slowly hurting for money. They actually furloughed 45000 of their employees.
Star wars is boring and dead. Fallen Order wasn't nearly as dope as Forced Unleashed and even Force Unleashed is subpar. Battlefront 2 was serviceable but it was too little too late. I'm out, rather play warhammer trash
Thats what im hoping for one day, instead we get shit like Fallen Order. I think games like that will be possible once we get next gen consoles.
Nah, you'll get yet another game where you play a goodie-two-shoes young Jedi Padawan and you'll enjoy it.
All they need to do is remake Galaxies with today's technology, game of the decade, done
disney is fucking ass. everything has to be kid friendly no dark shit
>multiplayer
no
>everything has to be kid friendly no dark shit
SWTOR is great at this. The game has its problems but a lot of DS choices are pure kino and they're not all mindless but pragmatic too.
Why don't these assholes ever make A GODDAMN EMPIRE GAME!?! Is it really too much to ask that I be allowed to hunt down terrorists in the name of the Empire?
It's purely a kids franchise now (maybe with the exception of books and comics). You won't be able to play as a baddie anymore.
Y-you cant just play as the good guys.
>Empire
>baddies
"Rebel" scum detected
No, because people will rush every mission and hit max level then complain there's "nothing to do" and "no post game content"
It already existed, it's called Star Wars Galaxies.
Ok just put that request as the last one then
I was obviously talking from Disney's perspective, retard.
This. OP literally just described Galaxies.
Problem is that it was one of those pre-wow grindfests that relied entirely on the community making their own fun. Amazing idea for fully simulated commerce and faction war -terrible if you just want a themepark MMO that you can enjoy with a few friends and don't have the clout to be an active guild contributor.
Downside is, when WoW came out and basically opened the entire genre to casualization (which I might add I am neither for nor against, depending on a game's principles and target audience) SOE decided to ride that trend way too hard and alienated their entire userbase.
To bring back SWG in its old state, you couldn't attract more than a few thousand no-life types of the old MMO vanguard while turning off the millions of WoWbabbies.
You'd have to do the impossible: make a game with lasting appeal for the core poopsocks without letting them hurt the feelings of the casuals while also making a fun themepark that anybody can enjoy for a couple hours a week.
In short: Have Disney make a game that isn't a by the numbers summer blockbuster with monetization and design principles two decades old without making the core gameplay two decades old.
Impossible
I think a private server could work, I'm sure there's at least one for Galaxies. My WoW guild dragged me into "classic everquest" on some private server that usually has somewhere around 1000 people playing. I've never played EQ before in any state and "grindfest" is definitely a good word for it, but I can see the appeal. I think that there will always be a few dedicated autists who want to play games like that.
>disney is fucking ass. everything has to be kid friendly no dark shit
>NOOOOO MUH CHILDHOOD HERO LUKE SKYWALKER WOULD NEVER CONSIDER DOING BAD THINGS EVER
Already exists and populated by the poopsock old guard.
There's occasional shilling for a boost but nobody sticks around. The game just doesn't fit the climate any more.
What a garbage post. Wojakposting has rotted your brain.
That's about what I expected. I'd like to give it a try someday but I think I would need to meet someone who was already into it and I bet most of them don't leave the house.
>this reading comprehension
>open world with on-planet levels bigger than an average backyard and many such planets
>fighting in space
>death star, destroyer interiors
>all in one game
Imagine the file size and spec recs.
