depends, hl:alyx for example is more fun on easy, you can mess around with the enemies pulling retarded stunts. playing on higher difficulties just turns it into a repetitive cover shooter.

I like playing on the hardest difficulties apart from the ones where they add "lol one death and back to the start of the game for you fucko" modifiers e.g Doom Eternal's ultra-nightmare or whatever it's called doesn't seem fun at all
