Doom eternal story

So
>VEGA is the father
>Hayden caused all the shit to start in Urdak because he basically kidnapped VEGA
>Hayden is probably gonna be the main antagonist in the next Doom because he will probably try and elevate himself to becoming the new god

Right?

No.

>Khan Myker & Dark Lord were already scheming with their deal
>Samur caught wind of it and didn't think it should happen
>Gave Doomguy god powers as a contingency plan to stop the Khan Maykr's bullshit if she gets too out of control.
>But YES. Vega is the father.

Wasn't the Father essentially the guiding figure of the Khans and when he left they lost that and were unable to create a new Khan Maykr? Hence her desperately looking for ways to prolong her life, and make a deal with the devil

Vega is the Father. Father is an AI entity that picks the next Khan. Also pic related statues head should look familiar to you.

They could see infinite timelines and the only constant was their inevitable and eternal doom at the hands of the destroyer, which is doomguy

Yes, also he solved the aging problem by transferring his mind into another body

>They could see infinite timelines
No they can't

Samur clearly hated the current Khan Makyr, as Hayden let's out gleeful chuckles when she's getting fucked over by Doomguy.

What isn't entirely clear:
> Why he hated the Khan Makyr - was he pissed that he wasn't chosen in the latest round and did what he did out of spite, or was it disgust at the Khan Makyr teaming up with Hell?
> At what point exactly did he steal the Father to sabotage everything?

Also, wasn't it stated in the lore that the other Makyr must submit to the will of the Khan Makyr? How could Samur just walk in and steal the Father just like that, especially when the Makyr can predict the future to a certain extend?

nudoom lore is just boneless warhammer

Yah they could

Hayden refers to humanity being "your people" in Urdak. The UAC nerd refers to his body being alien tech also.
They do everything short of flat out stating that Hayden is Seraphim. Besides if he's not Seraphim, it would leave a huge dangling thread in the narrative about Seraphim and Father that isn't resolved; It doesn't make sense from a plot standpoint for them to be instrumental to Doomslayer's origin and then never have them show up again in present times.

They dropped the ball by not including more Makyr enemies. Its especially confusing since the first time you encounter demons in Urdak they appear to be rushing you alongside drones, its only later in the level that you come across the Makyr drones and demons fighting each other.
Ideally you'd start Urdak fighting a couple Makyr variations, like those guys who were with the Khan, before those give way to Makyr zombies and and demons as Urdak gets overwhelmed. The game builds up going to heaven for several hours so its disappointing that its just full of the same demons you fought all along.

Definitely feels like cut content.
But frankly the least time we spend on this maykr garbage the better

??
Nothing in the game says this is a thing.
It's also still retarded

I wouldn't put too much attention into the lore because id will ignore it when making the next game. It's just fluff to encourage exploring the levels.

I don't understand why there's demons in Urdak because I thought codex entries specifically mentioned demons couldn't enter Urdak and Makyrs couldn't enter Hell.

There's some allusion to Khan losing control of the Icon of Sin allows demons to enter Urdak finally, but it smacks of an asspull to allow them to cut that corner.

Because the writers are hacks

Once you stab the heart of the Icon, the barrier starts to break.

>instrumental to Doomslayer's origin and then never have them show up again in present times.
Like "the wretch"? Was really hoping to meet a renegade demon or whatever, but nothing.

Didn't blowing up the big tower in nekrovol create a gateway to urdak? Presumably the demons just followed you through

Samuel literally says that freeing the Icon of Sin allowed the demons entrance into Urdak later in the level.

Khan Maykr's plan was to finish the ritual on the Icon of Sin then drop it onto Earth before activating it.
Instead the Slayer inadvertently awoke it while it was still in Urdak by stabbing the heart, therefore making it the first demon to set foot in Urdak, which broke the holy seal since it broke the seal's rule that "no demons can enter Urdak, and no maykrs can enter Hell".

Sequel bait

Hayden was a Human though. He had brain cancer and chose the Cyborg form for his expeditions to Hell. Maybe he actually uploaded into the seraphim somehow?

Why do they have the icon anyway?
And why is it inactive?
And why did the demons only make one?

This doesn't make sense samuel Hayden was literally a human. Unless his consciousness was taken over by Samur or he was tricked into making the body thinking itd save him but it was really just a vessel for Samur

They just retconned it

What was it that the demons stole from doom guy that Makyr said she could return? I assume a wife or child?

It was defeated in hell, theres many titans but that one they could control because of the heart of the betrayers son. They gave it the shell to help control it

Pet rabbit if doom2 is canon.
Possibly his emotions if his power-up stole them

Or the human Samual Hayden mever existed at all but was made up by the robot Samur? Or, more likely in my opinion, the real Samuel really died of brain cancer, never finished his research on transferring his conscious and Samur took it as a chance to take contol of the UAC and ultimately free the Doomslayer by doing so.

That sucks

Hayden being a human who was a businessman and complete "ends justify the means, the suffering is worth it if it saves us" with the argent energy was cool.

Him just being some asspull angel is lazy

The feeling of innocence and peace.

You're fucking retarded

That picture literally shows a quote ripped from the game's codex entries

This is literally a lore page from the game, transcribed verbatim.

Human samuel never existed, humans don't know about the maykrs.
Also the UAC was infiltrated, or possibly made, by the maykrs for a while, there's codex pages about the hell priests visiting mars. Yes it's dumb and I hate it. Why turn the simplest of plot with a running joke of doomguy not giving a shit into a clusterfuck?

The wretch is most likely the Betrayer. He's the only Sentinel with an armor design similar to Doomguy, just colored white. He even has the shoulder mounted cannon. His weapon of choice is also a hammer, and when you visit him he lives in basically a forge.

On top of that, Hell loves referring to non-demon characters as wretches, so while not outright stated all signs point to the Betrayer as the wretch.

Ok I missed it but it still doesn't explain either samuel or the khan maykrs actions

Wow niggers don't pay attention to the games they supposedly played
is correct. Sam explicitly fucking says it

So I guess doom 3 based off the quotes from samuel

>he thinks he is worthy and will try take over Urduk and use argent energy
>his motivations will be revealed to be selfish all along
>killing Khan Makyr will have released some seal in hell with new big demon boss now free
