As the other user pointed out, they do act in an exaggerated cutesy anime style because that the market they are shooting for, but there is also the personality part that allows them to marathon shit games for 20 hour straight almost everyday or instantly reply with hentai trivia and artists they follow that are complete degenerates, also influences how they interact with eachother and how they approach their viewers. These girls stream for several hours almost daily, so the act is forgotten a lot of the time, and the majority that have been playing the same character for over a year often drop the act all together and start behaving like their true selves, and that's usually the point where their channels grow the most.
The world would be a better place if all these dumb e-celebs and twitch streamers were actors as well. Maybe they would actually be entertaining for once.
