How the fuck do you fight Rude? Can't block his attacks in any mode, can't dodge, if you're within 2m from him, the attack cutscene triggers immediately.

I did beat him finally but goddamn it was a mess

The AI being so aggressive about attacking the player controlled character trivializes most of the fights. Even the post game extra bosses will fruitlessly chase Barret across the arena while Cloud and Tifa beat the shit out of them.

I noticed that too and I just started. Kinda makes Barret being a long distance fighter useless.

I like it but the areas between towns are too linear (not talking about the "dungeon" areas). Towns themselves were great because they reminded me of Yakuza, but they should have went more into that direction.

Punisher, defend for the auto-counter. It almost always guarantees a stagger and then you pound the shit out of him. By now your Chakra is around level 3-4, so more than enough to keep you up in solo engagements.

I started replaying the original yesterday, and while it holds up perfectly, I'm not getting anything out of it because I've already beaten it. I sort of wish I had a PS4 so I could play the Remake. Call me profound, but I believe the Remake and the Original should both be allowed to exist.

There's lots to like about it. Like weapon upgrades. You can customize the Buster Sword to be offensive, defensive, or magical. The Nailbat can be a great HP boosting tanky weapon, but really shines if you upgrade its Luck and Critical chances.

Also, the New Game + and letting you pick chapters so you can go trophy hunting is something any game longer than 10 hours should just have standard these days.

Um. You fight Motor Ball in highway. The boss in the pic is the Artillery you fight on the elevators in og and in the Remake you fight it in lobby after the elevators.
