Combatfags, give civil flight simulators a chance. You might actually learn something about aviation.

disgusting

i wish for once a sim had everything working
Fair. Labels should be off.
PMDG in Prepar3D and Flight Factor in X-Plane have you covered.
Agreed. DCS is the closest thing I've found.
OH SHIT, they fixed that nasty looking window lever!
nice!
So the NGXu is basically just a visual upgrade of the old NGX then? It's $100.
basically. You get the EFB though, I don't have that. Probably some other systems upgrades and fixes too.. but very minor.
They've been making guppies for quite a while.
Does their FS2004 737 have normal displays? Every image I've seen of it looks like your image. Unless it really is supposed to look like that, I don't know much about 737's.
KTUS - KLAS is my favorite short route.
I'm thinking of picking up DCS world cause it looks like a good time in VR, how much am I missing if I just play the free edition?
But I don't want to learn about aviation, I want to blow things up
So so you really need to understand what every switch button knob and meter are for in order to fly something like this? Seems a bit much
I like KJFK to KDXR with snowy weather
Just free you get a su25 and a trainer version of the mustang. SU25 cockpit isn't clickable but the mustang one is.
You still get all the sim stuff free, but each paid ac has different weapons and systems.
You can have some fun with free but a paid module has a lot more stuff to it like carriers and proper air to air and mid air refueling
Ace Combat might be more your thing
>Seems a bit much
If you have add and/or don't care about aviation, maybe. But that begs the question, why are you playing any kind of flight simulator at all?
Even with default scenery on my shitbox, I think downtown Las Vegas looks pretty nice.
just found this youtube video.. looks like it has normal ones youtube.com
Interesting story about the "legacy displays." As I understand it when the new display system came to the airlines, a certain operator Southwest wanted to save on the costs of transition training for their pilots. So they convinced Boeing to create a display option which closely mimicked the early electronic displays of the "Classic" 737-300/400/500. This allowed their pilots to fly both aircraft in the same day with no adjustment training required.
PMDG calls that option EFIS/MAP, and the new displays called PFD/ND, and is available in the NGX, and I'm sure in yours too...
It's pretty comfy, you should try it some time.
ace combat physics are bs though, and being able to carry 100 sidewinders that can also tgt ground gives me heartburn.
TL:DR, if you want a game, place ace combat.
If you want a sim, play dcs, and if you want to take it easy, just turn on the easy flight mode+unlimited fuel/wpns/invincible for a bit.
Simbros, anyone tried flying an actual airline simulator with all the hydraulics and shit?
I was evoking this
Yes, it’s fairly straight forward
I don't have a favorite. I just do all kinds of stuff.
>Seems a bit much
Yeah, it is. These aren't the beginner airplanes user. It's manuals run about 3,000 pages.
You'll fit right in with the combat crowd!
The free Frogfoot Su-25T is probably the best ground attack jet in the game right now.
how straightforward? like, normal day straightforward, or straightforward when they make stuff hit the fan?
>ADD
>can never be a pilot IRL
sims are my only cope..
>give civil flight simulators a chance
a plane is fine too but for me its trucks.
I think you have to be the same kind of person who would enjoy train or bus sims to enjoy "boring" civil flight sims. I was too low here, but it's really not that difficult especially if you rely on the autopilot as much as possible.
>but for me its trucks.
>tfw no 1:1 scale Earth trucking sim
I can't be the only one who would play such a thing, can I?
a little flat but otherwise not bad user!
making webms is a pain the fucking ass
>making webms is a pain the fucking ass
Yeah, I hardly know anything about the process. I had to take the bitrate down to 750 and 20 fps to squeeze under the 3 MB limit. Meanwhile other people can make webms that are a minute long or more.
does it have an ILS? If you want you can fly manually without the ap, just keep the FD centered in ils mode and it will keep your vertical profile good and help develop manual handling skills
