ARMS is a recent game that did relatively well, despite being massively overshadowed by Splatoon.
Golden Sun's last game came out a decade ago and was a flop both critically and financially.
Geno is a oneoff character from 1996 in copyright limbo with Squeenix, who are notoriously obnoxious to work with in regards to copyright.

No, it's not. Among people who actually PLAYED Golden Sun, the last game was almost universally panned. ARMS had a steady dedicated fanbase for years after release, even if— again— it was overshadowed by Smash and Splatoon as the big Switch multiplayer titles. The vast majority of fags who keep screaming about Golden Sun in Smash are people who probably never played the games, and even if they did, they probably just played the first GBA one and nothing else.
This is the fate you've resigned to if your character becomes a popular meme pick for rosterfags.

Nobody actually likes Golden Sun. Its just yet another bandwagon titlethat people want to come back but would never actually buy if it did. It left no impression on the gaming world whatsoever.
Other Nintendo RPGs like Earthbound, Xenoblade and Paper Mario are actually memorable. The most you can say about Golden Sun is that the sprite work is pretty.
